    摘要: Systems and methods are provided for an extensive content build pipeline. The exemplary content build pipeline is based on a code build process using a standard XIF file format containing reference to game content produced using various game content editors and tools. This standardized file format is capable of containing the information required by the content build as metadata, thus enabling a standard content build pipeline. This is opposed to being based on a number of game-specific formats and thus requiring the use of exporters. However, game engine developers can then optimize the XIF files to their particular game engine format.

    摘要: A disclosure of a subscription service is provided, where this service allows for the running of unsigned content, such as games, on closed computing systems, such as gaming consoles. The subscription service checks whether gamer tags have an account to run unsigned games on any consoles on which the gamer tags happen to be residing. If so, users associated with such gamer tags can run unsigned content; if not, then they cannot (but may be asked or allowed to subscribe to the service). The subscription service has various facets, some of which include: gamer tags that can interact with the service while being distributed across a plurality of consoles; remote location of the service from the gaming console; user privileges auditing and revocation if users associated with gamer tags violate policies set out by the subscription service, and so on.

    摘要: A license to use content (e.g., a movie, song, application, etc.) is provided to a consumer. The license allows for use of the content by the device the consumer is using (e.g., logged into) and devices near the device the consumer is using. For example, a first computing device obtains a license to restricted content. A second computing device obtains a copy of the restricted content; however, the second computing device is not licensed to use the content and may not be able to access the content because the content is encrypted or otherwise restricted. The first computing device is brought into proximity with the second computing device. In response to detecting that the first computing device is in proximity with the second computing device, the second computing device is provided with legal access to the restricted content. The second computing device can then decrypt (or otherwise access) and play the content.
