    摘要: A signal generator, a signal generation method, and a communication system using the same are provided. The signal generator includes a plurality of nonlinear elements which are connected in a ring; and a signal distributor which is arranged in the ring to form a closed loop, feeds part of a signal to one of the plurality of the nonlinear elements, and outputs signal generated by one of the plurality of nonlinear elements. The method includes arranging a plurality of nonlinear elements connected in a ring; inputting a signal to one of the nonlinear elements; amplifying the signal; receiving the amplified signal and generating a harmonic component of a frequency; clipping the signal; and feeding part of the signal back to one of the nonlinear elements and outputting a remainder of the signal. The system includes a chaotic signal generator; a signal distributor; a modulator; and a transmission circuit.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for simplifying a structure needed to delay data in delay units when a reference signal and data are transmitted by using chaotic signals are provided. The method includes delaying data by at least two delay times, wherein each of the delay times occurs sequentially; multiplexing the data, which has been delayed, according to a control signal; and transmitting the data and a reference signal which corresponds to the data at an interval of delay time. The apparatus includes a first delay unit which is configured to delay data for a first delay time; a second delay unit which is configured to delay the data output from the first delay unit for a second delay time; and a multiplexer which is configured to multiplex the data from the first and second delay units according to a control signal.

    摘要: An ultra wideband antenna is provided that filters a predetermined frequency signal. The ultra wideband antenna includes a power feeding part that receives a supply of an external electromagnetic energy; a radiator excited by the electromagnetic energy fed through the power feeding part and radiating an electromagnetic wave; and a stub, provided on the radiator in a direction parallel to a direction of an electric field formed by the electromagnetic wave, that intercepts transmission/reception of a predetermined frequency band signal. The length of the stub may be ¼ of a wavelength of the intermediate frequency of the predetermined frequency band to be removed to filter the corresponding frequency band signal. The ultra wideband antenna simplifies the construction of an ultra wideband receiving system with the power loss and noise characteristics of the system improved.

The ranging system includes a transmission signal generator which generates a transmission signal, which is transmitted from a transmission device to a reception device; a correction signal generator which converts the transmission signal, which is processed in the reception device and re-input to the transmission device, into a correction signal; a reference signal generator which generates a reference signal, an overlap detector which detects an overlap region between the correction signal and the reference signal; a time calculator which calculates a transmission time of the transmission signal; and a distance calculator which calculates a distance between the devices using the transmission time. The method includes generating a transmission signal; transmitting the transmission signal to a reception device and receiving the signal back again; producing a correction signal; detecting an overlap region between the correction and reference signals; calculating a transmission time; and calculating a distance between the transmission and reception devices.

An RF communication system includes: a transmitter terminal which generates a chaotic signal including a plurality of frequency components in a predetermined frequency band and transmits a chaotic carrier generated by inserting a data signal including information to be transmitted into the chaotic signal to a receiver terminal; and the receiver terminal extracts the data signal from the chaotic carrier received from the transmitter terminal via a wireless network and outputs the extracted data signal. As a result, low power, light weight local area RF communication devices can be realized.

The communication system includes a main synchronization block group which processes the transceived signal and determines whether the transceived signal is a signal desired by a transmitting device when a receiving device re-transmits the transceived signal to the transmitting device; a ranging block which measures a distance between the transmitting device and the receiving device using a ranging signal when the transceived signal is the desired signal of the transmitting device based on the determination of the main synchronization block group and when the transceived signal is the ranging signal; and a symbol synchronization block which detects a start point and an end point of a symbol forming the signal when the transceived signal from the receiving device is a data communication signal. Accordingly, the fast ranging is feasible and channel occupation time can be shortened.

According to the communication system, the delay time can be accurately adjusted even if the delay line is shortened, and the data bits of the communication signal can be accurately judged in the receiver side.

    摘要: An analog correlator for very high speed data communication, including a single transmission line receiving an input signal and used as a signal delay circuit, a plurality of analog multipliers connected in parallel with a predetermined gap from the transmission line, for receiving a predetermined size of voltages, respectively, and an adder for adding the signals from the plurality of analog multipliers and transmitting the resultant signal as an output signal. The analog correlator can perform very high speed data communication, and can be applied to a high precision position estimation system. Moreover, the time delay is controlled in each part of the transmission line by adjusting a size of a variable capacitor. As a result, the length of the transmission line can be adjusted. Furthermore, the correlator is adaptively used according to variations of the very high speed communication environment by adjusting voltages of application voltage devices.
