    摘要: A transvenously implantable medical device (TIMD) includes an electrical lead and a control module. The electrical lead includes one or more electrodes and is adapted for transvenous implantation. The electrical lead is also pre-biased to expand from a collapsed state to an expanded state to mechanically engage an internal wall of a blood vessel. The control module is secured to and in electrical communication with the electrical lead. The control module includes a signal management component and a power component disposed in a housing adapted for implantation into the blood vessel. The control module is adapted for at least one of stimulating and sensing a physiologic response using the one or more electrodes of the electrical lead.

    摘要: An implantable medical device lead includes an inner conductor coil comprising one or more generally cylindrically wound filars. The inner conductor coil is configured to have a first inductance value greater than or equal to 0.2 μH/inch when the inner conductor coil is subjected to a range of radio frequencies. The implantable medical device lead also includes a multi-filar outer coil comprising two or more generally cylindrically wound filars. The multi-filar outer coil is configured to have a second inductance value greater than or equal to 0.1 μH/inch when the multi-filar outer coil is subjected to the range of radio frequencies.

    摘要: An illustrative anchoring mechanism is provided for attachment to an implantable subcutaneous lead to facilitate anchoring at the distal tip of the lead. The anchoring mechanism is attached to an opening in a distal portion of a subcutaneous lead prior to implantation. The anchoring mechanism may be designed to avoid covering the sensing electrode of the subcutaneous lead, to prevent interference with sensing. Use of such an apparatus may reduce the number of incisions needed to perform implantation.

In various examples, two introducer tools each having a sheath are used during an implantation procedure to obviate the need for pulling a lead using a suture. The elimination of the suture-based pulling steps may reduce procedure time. A kit having two introducer tool and corresponding sheaths is also disclosed.
