The first prong and the second prong are configured to extend to a first flange diameter in a relaxed configuration and to extend to a second flange diameter in an expanded configuration.

摘要: A device for the active fixation of an implantable medical lead includes a housing, a tine assembly, an electrode, and a rotatable shaft. The housing includes a proximal end for connecting to the lead and a distal end opposite the proximal end. The housing defines a housing lumen extending between the proximal end and a recess adjacent to the distal end. The tine assembly is disposed within the housing lumen and includes at least one tine configured to self-bias from a linear configuration within the housing to a curved configuration outside of the housing. The electrode assembly is disposed at the distal end of the housing and includes a plurality of electrodes. The rotatable shaft extends through the housing lumen and is configured to engage the tine assembly such that rotation of the shaft transitions the at least one tine between the linear configuration and the curved configuration.

摘要: An electrical connector for detachably connecting an electrical lead to an implantable medical device includes a conductive housing and a plurality of spring contacts. The conductive housing extends from a proximal end to a distal end. The conductive housing has an interior surface forming a hollow cylinder. The plurality of spring contacts projects from the interior surface of the conductive housing and toward the proximal end. The plurality of spring contacts is at least partially contained within the conductive housing and configured to form an electrical connection to an electrical lead inserted within the conductive housing. The conductive housing and the plurality of spring contacts are integrally formed by an additive manufacturing process such that the electrical connector is a unitary structure.

摘要: An implantable lead includes a lead body having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion. The lead body includes an insulative member having a lumen extending longitudinally between the proximal end portion and the distal end portion. The lead body also includes a generally tubular helical liner disposed coaxially with the lumen within the insulative member. A pitch of the helical liner varies along the length of the lead. The implantable lead also includes an electrode disposed along the lead body in the distal end portion thereof, and a conductor disposed within the lumen and electrically coupled to the electrode. A terminal connector is coupled to the proximal end portion of the lead body and to the conductor.
