Abstract: In one aspect, a system and method allow for various pairs of candidate gear ratios and engine speeds to be identified for achieving a desired ground speed of a work vehicle. The individual operating efficiencies of one or more of the power-consuming components of the work vehicle may then be analyzed for each pair of transmission/engine settings to estimate the associated parasitic power loss(es) within the system. Based on the parasitic power loss value determined for each transmission/engine setting, a net engine power or torque requirement can be calculated and used as an input for determining the fuel efficiency of the work vehicle at each candidate setting. The gear ratio and corresponding engine speed of the candidate setting associated with the lowest fuel consumption may then be set as the target or desired transmission/engine setting for maintaining the work vehicle at the desired ground speed.

Abstract: In one aspect, a system and method allow for various pairs of candidate gear ratios and engine speeds to be identified for achieving a desired ground speed of a work vehicle. The individual operating efficiency of the vehicle's fan and/or alternator may then be analyzed for each pair of transmission/engine settings to estimate the associated parasitic power loss(es) for such component(s). Abstract: A work vehicle includes: a chassis; a first axle carried by the chassis; a pair of first wheels rotatably coupled to the first axle; a first weight sensor associated with the first axle and configured to output a first weight signal; a second axle carried by the chassis; a pair of second wheels rotatably coupled to the second axle; a second weight sensor associated with the second axle and configured to output a second weight signal; and a controller operatively coupled to the first and second weight sensors. The controller is configured to: receive the first and second weight signals; determine a weight distribution of the work vehicle based on the received first and second weight signals; analyze the determined weight distribution to determine at least one recommended operating parameter; and output a recommendation signal based on the at least one recommended operating parameter.

Abstract: A suspension system for a cab of an agricultural vehicle having a frame. The suspension system includes a pair of first mounts configured for connecting the cab to the frame at a first region, a pair of second mounts configured for connecting the cab to the frame at a second region, and a pair of actuators configured for connecting the cab to the frame at a third region. The actuators are configured for variably damping a movement of the cab. The suspension system also includes a first suspension linkage laterally connected in between the second mounts. The suspension system also includes a second suspension linkage configured for connecting the cab to the frame at a fourth region. The second suspension linkage is configured for limiting a rotation of the cab about the longitudinal axis of the frame.

Abstract: A mounting assembly for mounting a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) system within a work vehicle may generally include a support bracket having a first side and a second side. The mounting assembly may also include a mount plate configured to be coupled to the first side of the bracket. The mount plate may include first and second plate walls and may define an elongated slot through the first plate wall. Additionally, the assembly may include a retention band configured to at least partially wrap around a housing of the DOC system between a first end configured to be coupled to the mount plate and a second end configured to be coupled to the second side of the support bracket. The mount plate may be configured to be moved laterally relative to the support bracket to allow the retention band to be tightened and loosened around the housing.
