    Abstract: A network includes a first candidate pool of multiple upper-layer communication processing units and a second candidate pool of lower-layer communication processing units to support the split-layer processing. Initially, a first upper-layer processing unit and a first lower-layer processing unit in the network provide a first service over a wireless communication link established between a wireless access point and a communication device in a network. In response to receiving a request to support a second service, the network notifies the first upper-layer processing unit of the second service. If a combination of the first upper-layer processing unit and the first lower-layer processing unit cannot support the second service, the first upper-layer processing unit selects a second upper-layer processing unit. The selected second upper-layer processing unit selected from the first candidate pool is used in conjunction with the first lower-layer processing unit to support the second service.

    Abstract: A tiered service management resource providing management of wireless channels in a network environment receives notification of wireless bandwidth such as multiple wireless channels allocated by a spectrum access system (a.k.a., SAS). The spectrum access system allocates the wireless channels for use by a wireless base station in the network environment. Prior to re-allocating the wireless bandwidth (such as a selected wireless channel) to customer premises equipment, the tiered service management resource further receives a communication indicating a wireless spectrum scan performed at a location from which customer premises equipment in the network environment is (being) installed to wirelessly communicate with the wireless base station. Based on an identified fixed wireless service tier (or level) assigned to the customer premises equipment and supplemental information such as the wireless spectrum scan, the tiered service management resource allocates a selected wireless channel from SAS-assigned bandwidth for use by the customer premises equipment.

    Abstract: A communication management resource receives notification of a request from user equipment to establish a wireless communication link with a remote communication device through a first private wireless network. The communication management resource resides in a second private wireless network to which the user of the user equipment is a member. The request requests use of services provided by the second private wireless network to connect the user equipment to a remote communication device. In response to receiving the request, the second private wireless network retrieves a unique network identifier value assigned to the first private network. Via the unique network identifier value, the communication management resource detects that the first private wireless network is associated with the second wireless network.     Abstract: A base station in a first wireless network provides first wireless connectivity to user equipment operated by a subscriber. The first wireless network supports first wireless communications such as non-voice communications. A network management resource receives configuration information assigned to the subscriber operating the user equipment. The configuration information indicates that the subscriber is assigned use of a second wireless network that provides support of second wireless communications (such as voice communications). In response to detecting a trigger event (such as a voice call) indicating a need to switch to use of the second wireless network, the network management resource initiates termination of the first wireless connectivity and establishment of second wireless connectivity between the user equipment and a base station in the second wireless network.
