Abstract: The present application provides a secondary battery, an electrolyte, and an apparatus including the secondary battery. The secondary battery of the present application includes an electrolyte, characterized in that the electrolyte includes an organic solvent, and the organic solvent includes a cyclic carbonate and a chain carbonate; the mass ratio of the cyclic carbonate and the chain carbonate is from 25:75 to 32:68; the chain carbonate includes dimethyl carbonate; the mass percentage of the dimethyl carbonate in the chain carbonate is greater than or equal to 9 wt % and less than 50 wt %; wherein based on the total mass of the organic solvent, the mass percentage of a carboxylic acid ester is less than 5 wt %. The secondary battery of the present application can simultaneously obtain excellent low-temperature power, long service life and cycle performance.

This application can not only improve electrochemical performance of the lithium-ion battery under high temperature and high voltage and improve safety performance such as overcharge safety and hot box safety of the lithium-ion battery, but also ensure that the lithium-ion battery has some kinetic performance.

Abstract: Provided is a battery pack. The battery pack includes a first battery cell, a second battery cell, and a third battery cell. A positive electrode active substance of each battery cell is composed of lithium iron phosphate and a low-temperature additive. The low-temperature additive is selected from compounds containing at least two carbonyl groups, which are conjugated with an unsaturated structure or an atom having lone-pair electrons connected with the carbonyl groups. At a temperature lower than or equal to 10° C., a ratio of a discharging capacity of a single cell of the second battery cell to a discharging capacity of a single cell of the first battery cell ranges from 1.003 to 1.12, and a ratio of a discharging capacity of a single cell of the third battery cell to a discharging capacity of a single cell of the second battery cell ranges from 1.005 to 1.15.
