    Abstract: A manufacturing method for an electric motor stator includes an injecting step in which thermosetting resin is injected into a forming die, a dipping step in which a coil end portion is dipped into the thermosetting resin injected into the forming die, a heating step in which the thermosetting resin inside the forming die is heated so as to form a molded portion, and a mold release step in which the molded portion is released from the forming die when at least either shear force of the thermosetting resin or adhesive strength between the coil end portion and the thermosetting resin becomes greater than previously-determined mold release force.

    Abstract: A conveyer equipped with rotating discs rotatable around axes thereof relative to a mounting base. Each of the rotating discs has grooves in which rectangular wires are receivable. When an upstream and a downstream one of the rotating disc are arranged in a given angular relation to each other, one of the grooves of the upstream rotating disc is aligned with that of the downstream rotating disc to pass the rectangular wire from the upstream rotating disc to the downstream rotating disc. Upon such passing of the rectangular wire, the grooves of the upstream and downstream rotating discs hold or clamp all side surfaces of the rectangular wire, thereby ensuring the stability in retaining the rectangular wire when passed from one to another of the rotating discs, which enables the conveyer to carry the rectangular wires at high speeds.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a stator includes steps of: inserting a stator coil into slots of a stator core so as to have parts of the stator coil protruding from an axial end face of the stator core; and bending the protruding parts of the stator coil in a circumferential direction. Moreover, in the bending step: a bending jig with a press surface is arranged on the axial end face of the stator core to cover at least part of a corresponding tooth of the stator core; and at least one of the protruding parts is pressed against the press surface of the bending jig, thereby being bent in the circumferential direction. Furthermore, a circumferential width of the press surface is larger than a circumferential width of a facing part of the corresponding tooth; the facing part faces the at least one of the protruding parts in the circumferential direction.

    Abstract: An aligning apparatus, which is provided for aligning coil segments to form an aligned coil, includes a cylindrical jig and a hook jig. The cylindrical jig has an outer cylinder to surround a radially outer periphery of the aligned coil and an inner cylinder to be surrounded by a radially inner periphery of the aligned coil. The hook jig has hooks arranged in a radial fashion and is rotatable relative to the cylindrical jig in a radial direction. The cylindrical jig further has an inner entrance provided in the inner cylinder, an outer entrance provided in the outer cylinder, and at least one of an inner guide wall extending from a front opening edge of the inner entrance radially inward and backward in the rotational direction and an outer guide wall extending from a front opening edge of the outer entrance radially outward and backward in the rotational direction.
