    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems for searching for media content across multiple sources. A multi-source content system can connect various media content sources (e.g., internet streaming platforms, local or cloud storage, OTA networks, cable network, satellite network, public library databases, etc.) to a gateway. When a user searches for media content, the gateway can detect the search and perform a query across the various media content sources to locate the media content. The multi-source content system can prioritize the search results according to free content, local storage devices, gateway content services or bandwidth management metrics, and present the search results to the user. The multi-source content system can aggregate multiple media content sources and devices connected to a gateway to retrieve media content.

    Abstract: A method for casting to multiple wireless speakers, the method including: receiving at a casting device a request from a user device to cast audio signals to multiple wireless speakers, wherein the audio signals include multiple channels; sending an inquiry request; receiving responses to the inquiry request from multiple wireless speakers; connecting to a plurality of speakers from the multiple wireless speakers; sending test signals to each of the plurality of speakers; receiving information from a microphone for each of the one or more test signals output from each of the plurality of speakers, wherein the microphone is a component of a remote control associated with the casting device; selecting one or more of the multiple channels to send to each of the plurality of speakers based on the received information; and sending the corresponding selected one or more of the multiple channels to each of the plurality of speakers.

    Abstract: Techniques are provided that include receiving, by a set-top box (STB) and over a direct broadcast satellite (DBS) channel, an instructional media file; storing the instructional media file in a local database for future viewing; adding metadata about the instructional media file to an analytics engine; determining, by the analytics engine, a time to present the instructional media file to an end-user associated with the STB, wherein the determination is based on processing an associated profile of the end-user and the metadata about the instructional media file; transmitting a notification for delivery to the end-user, where the notification indicates that the instructional media file is ready to be presented; and presenting, by a local processor associated with the STB, the instructional media file. Various artificial intelligence and augmented reality aspects are created and implemented in the system.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems for adjusting network speed to a gateway. The network speed adjustment system can include a gateway with the ability to manage a consumer-initiated temporary increase in network speed or network bandwidth. The network speed adjustment system can determine whether the provisioning system can support a network speed increase to the gateway. The provisioning system can measure the capacity of the network at the gateway location and determine whether the system can support providing the gateway with an increased network speed or increased bandwidth. When additional bandwidth capacity or network speed is available for a gateway location, a user can request the network increase by submitting a token via the gateway. The gateway can communicate with the provisioning system to increase the network speed according to the characteristics of the token.
