Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to a system configured to obtain external credentials for a user account external to a content management system, wherein the external credentials are associated with a content item stored on the content management system. The system receives, from a client device, a client request for data associated with the external user account and transmits, to an external source, a proxy-request for the data associated with the external user account, wherein the proxy-request comprises the external credentials. The system further receives the data associated with the external account and transmits the data associated with the external account to the client device.

Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to a system configured to receive, from a first client device, application data generated from the execution, by the first client device, of third-party application code embedded within a content item managed by a content management system, wherein the first client device is associated with a first user account of the content management system. The system is further configured to store, at the content management system, the application data as metadata associated with the content item and transmit, based on the received application data, a notification to a second client device associated with a second user account of the content management system with access to the content item.

Abstract: A collaborative content management system enables users to selectively create threads and comments linked to specific portions of an image. An image comment may be indicated by a tag displayed at the location based on the specific portion of the image and having an identifier of the thread. Tags for image comments may be clustered together. When an image having image comments is replaced by a replacement image, the tags from the image may be transferred from the image to the replacement image and displayed at the same relative positions in the replacement image as positioned in the original image.

Abstract: An interface for editing content items permits users to enter tasks and designate metadata relating to the tasks, such as an assigned user for the task, a deadline for the task, and a category of the task. A content item browser presents content items to a user along with a summary of the task completion of tasks within the content item. The summary of task completion may be limited to tasks matching a search query. This permits a user to identify content items and tasks related to the search query from the content item browser, without entering an interface for modifying the content item.
Abstract translation:

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for managing content item collections. For example, in embodiment, a client device may receive first user input selecting a content item collection. The client device may generate a graphical user interface for presenting the content item collection. The content item collection may include one or more tiles. Each tile may correspond to a content item embedded into the content item collection and stored by a content management system. The client device may present the content item collection including the one or more tiles. The client device may present, within each of the one or more tiles, an image representing the corresponding content item.

Abstract: A content management system including a document management system provides documents that include comments entered by users. Comments are organized into threads; each thread is associated with a span of text in the document. When a user requests access to a document, the document management system determines which threads are visible to the user based on an audience associated with each thread. The audience comprises the user identifiers of i) the author of the document containing the thread; ii) the authors of comments included in the thread; iii) the authors of any text included in the text span for the thread; iv) any user mentioned in the text span the thread via a user primitive; v) any user mentioned in a comment via user primitive.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to managing content item collections. A collection management system receives a request for collection item metadata associated with a collection item. Collection management system obtains a content item identifier corresponding to the collection item identifier. Collection management system requests content item metadata from a content management system. Collection management system receives from the content management system content item metadata corresponding to the content item identifier. Collection management system filters the content item metadata to remove a portion of the content item metadata comprising privileged information. Collection management system retrieves collection item metadata using the collection item identifier. Collection management system adds the filtered content item metadata to the collection item metadata. Collection management system sends to the client device the collection item metadata for the content item to be displayed, without sending the portion of the metadata comprising privileged information.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for managing projects using references between the project and project items. Project items can be, for example, synchronized content items, collaborative content items, other projects, folders, tasks, user accounts, etc. The content management system can create a project identifier for managing data and/or people associated with a project. In various implementations, the content management system can store references between the project and project items in one or more folders associated with the project, in a database, in content item metadata, etc. In some implementations, the storage location of a content item does not affect whether it is associated with the project. When a project is selected by a user, the content management system can generate project view that presents various project items associated with the project in a convenient and easy to access graphical user interface.
