Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for implementing discoverable collaboration teams. In some embodiments, a user of a content management system can create a team account within the content management system. The team account can be associated with a domain of the user (now administrator) of the team account. The domain can be an email domain, company name, or some other identifier or characteristic of the user that might be shared with other users. The administrator can specify discoverability settings for the team that allow other content management system users associated with the domain to automatically discover and/or join the team account.

Abstract: A computer implemented methods to allow a user to copy content from a rendered document into a target document using a linking command. The target document can be a new document or an existing document, that is not rendered. The copied content can include a link to the document from which the content was copied from. The linking command can be a refer command or a send to file command. A refer command allows a user to copy and paste the content from a rendered document into a target document with text associated with the refer command remaining in the rendered document. A send to file command allows a user to copy and paste the content from a rendered document into a target document with no trace left in the rendered document.

Abstract: The present technology pertains to displaying a version of a content item and an indication of differences between that version and another version of the content item. For example, a content management system can iterate through portions of a first version of a content item and attempt to match those portions with portions of a second version of the content item. The content management system can analyze these matches to determine differences between the respective portions and to classify and categorize the differences (e.g., do they represent a significant change or do they change the meaning of the content item). A client device can then represent a clean version of the content item in a first application and the differences and characteristics in a second application in coordination with the first application.
