Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, non-transitory computer-readable media, and methods for generating composite actions for a user account. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems determine a set of tasks performable by the user account using software tools on a client device. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems generate a task initialization prompt to provide to a large language model. Additionally, in some implementations, the disclosed systems generate a composite action comprising a hybridized combination of the set of tasks performable by the user account along with a set of content items relevant to the set of tasks. Moreover, in some embodiments, the disclosed systems provide access to the composite action and the set of content items via a user interface of the client device. Furthermore, in some implementations, the disclosed systems generate and insert predicted content into a content item without user input.

The corporate directory can provide access to user accounts for all members of the organization to all content items in the organization directory on the respective file systems of the members' client devices. Members can reach any content item at the same path as other members relative to the organization directory root on their respective client device. In some embodiments novel access permissions are granted to maintain path consistency.

Abstract: The disclosed technology addresses the need in the art for providing workflow controls to shared content items stored on client devices, and enforcing content item check outs or content item locks for shared content items stored and accessed on client devices. The present technology further includes automatically locking a shared content item that is edited on a client device so that other team members cannot modify the content item. Accordingly, the present technology improves upon existing systems that provide workflow controls such as file check-in and checkout functionality by permitting users to access content items directly from the file system of their client device, and by providing automatic checkout and check-in functionality.

Abstract: The present technology provides an interface and system for generating a previous version of a directory structure that can be useful in the restoration of a directory or file. The system, methods and non-transitory computer-readable storage media include receiving a request for a previous version of a directory structure at an indicated date, querying a content management system for placeholder content items associated with the previous version of the directory structure at the indicated date, receiving the placeholder content items, and generating a read-only copy of at least a portion of the previous version of the directory structure at the indicated date based on the placeholder content items, wherein the read-only copy of the directory structure is separate from the directory structure at a current date.
