Abstract: A mixed ester composition having a recycle content value is obtained by reacting a recycle content feedstock to make a recycle content mixed ester or by deducting from a recycle inventory a recycle content value applied to a mixed ester composition. At least a portion of the recycle content value in the feedstock or in an allotment obtained by a mixed ester manufacturer has its origin in recycled waste and/or pyrolysis of recycled waste and/or in thermal steam cracking of recycle content pyoil.

Abstract: Processes and systems for making recycle content hydrocarbons, including olefins, are provided that integrate a cracker unit with one or more other processing units. For example, in some cases, a fluidized catalytic cracking unit may be used to crack recycle content pyrolysis oil and the effluent from the FCC may be further processed in a conventional cracker unit, including its downstream separation zone, to provide recycle content hydrocarbon product stream. In other cases, a pyrolysis unit and cracking unit may be co-located and may share at least one utility, service group, boundary, conduit, energy exchange zone, and/or geographical area.

Abstract: A composition and process for making the composition by co-refining: fibrillated virgin cellulose fibers, waste/recycle cellulose fibers, or both; co-refined cellulose ester (CE) staple fibers having a denier per filament (DPF) of less than 3 and the weight percent of CE staple fibers is less than 30 wt. %, based on the weight of CE staple fibers and said cellulose fibers; and water. The composition can be co-refined to obtain lower Canadian standard freeness yet improved drainage and wet laid products having good tensile strength, air permeability, stiffness, burst strength, and bulk.

Abstract: A bale of sheets made of waste/recycle cellulose fibers and cellulose ester (CE) staple fibers can be fed to a hydropulper. The CE staple fibers have: i. a denier per filament (DPF) of less than 3, or ii. a cut length of less than 6 mm, or iii. crimping, or iv. a combination of any two or more of (i)-(iii). The bales can be fed and dropped in as entire bales to a hydropulper, or a blend tank directly or indirectly in fluid communication with a hydropulper, using the same feed system employed for feeding cellulose to the hydopulper and avoiding having to defiberize by pulling or drawing fibers from a box container into a hydropulper. The waste/recycle cellulose fibers and CE staple fibers can be co-refined prior to making the bale of sheets.

Abstract: A cracker stream is provided that contains a recycle content pyrolysis oil composition, a predominantly C5 to C22 hydrocarbon composition, and steam at a steam-to-hydrocarbon ratio of at least 0.60:1. The method for making olefins includes: (a) combining a predominantly C5 to C22 hydrocarbon stream with a recycle content pyrolysis oil composition (r-pyoil) to provide a combined cracker stream; and (b) cracking the combined cracker stream in a cracker furnace to provide an olefin-containing effluent stream, wherein the combined cracker stream contains steam at a steam-to-hydrocarbon ratio greater than 0.60:1. There is also provided a cracker stream including r-pyoil), a predominantly C2 to C4 hydrocarbon composition, and steam at a steam-to-hydrocarbon ratio of at least 0.20:1. Olefins can be made from this cracker stream as well.
