Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure include a navigation system and computer-implemented methods for proactively re-routing vehicles based on an analysis of input component data obtained from the navigation-enabled devices. The navigation system scores the input component data to obtain a measure of frustration (e.g., a feeling of being upset or annoyed) of the user of the navigation-enabled device. The navigation system may provide a detour suggestion for display on the navigation-enabled device to persuade the user of the device to direct their vehicle to depart from its current location or route in an effort to remove the vehicle from traffic, and thereby reduce the frustration level of the user. The detour suggestion may include an alternative route to the original destination, or an alternative destination.
Abstract:
Methods and systems to refine search results were described. The system communicates a first user interface to a mobile device that includes search results that include data items. The system receives a first request from the mobile device that includes an indication of at least one swiping motion that is applied across a touch-sensitive screen on the mobile device. The mobile device is associated with a previously selected refinement and corresponding value. The system filters the search results. The refined search results include a second plurality of data items based on the previously selected refinement and the corresponding value. The system generates a second user interface that includes the refined search results. The system communicates the second user interface, over the network, to the mobile device. The second user interface includes the refined search results that include the second plurality of data items to display on the mobile device.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure include a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and computer-implemented methods for creating and maintaining a high-quality image marketplace. Consistent with some embodiments, a method includes receiving a request from a device for an image corresponding to a location. An image file corresponding to the location is then retrieved from an image repository of the image marketplace. The method further includes composing image data using the image file, and determining a price for the image data based on a relationship between the requesting device and the location. The image data may then be transmitted to the requesting device in response to receiving a payment of the price.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for authentication of users based on biometrics and determination of group characteristics based on biometrics are provided. Biometric profiles of users, which include reference biometric data for behavioral patterns and/or physiological characteristics, are stored in a biometric system. A biometric capture device captures a biometric sample that includes a representation of one or more biometrics of a user. The biometric system determines biometric data from the biometric sample and compares the biometric data with the reference biometric data. The biometric system may authenticate the user based on the comparison alone or in combination with other authentication techniques. Further, for biometric samples that include a representation of biometrics for a group of users, the biometric system may determine a group characteristic from the biometric sample and provide services relevant to the group.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure include a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for determining a clothing size of a child. Consistent with some embodiments, the method may include obtaining at least one image of the child, and deriving one or more previous body measurements from the at least one image. The method further includes determining one or more current body measurements of the child based on the previous body measurements, and using the one or more current body measurements to determine the clothing size of the child.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for real-time audio processing employs a gaze detection sensor to detect a direction of a user's gaze and output a gaze signal corresponding to the detected direction of the user's gaze. A digital signal processing unit responds to a plurality of signals corresponding to a plurality of sounds received at the apparatus, and the determined direction of gaze to identify a signal of interest from the plurality of signals using the gaze signal. The signal of interest is processed for output to the user. In embodiments, a microphone array provides the plurality of signals. An imaging sensor may work with either the microphone array or the gaze detection sensor to identify the signal of interest.
Abstract:
A system and method of an intelligent shopping infrastructure is provided. A data storage of current inventory from a plurality of merchants is maintained. User preferences that indicate an item affinity of a user are retrieved. Furthermore, a location of the user is detected. Using the detected location, available inventory, and item affinity, an available item from the current inventory of a merchant located within a predetermined distance to the location of the user that match the item affinity of the user is identified. The available item is presented on a user interface of a client device of the user.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure involve an apparatus, systems, and methods for providing intelligent laundering alerts. Example embodiments involve an intelligent garment tag that may be affixed to garments, and may store and provide information about the garment to which it is affixed. The information stored thereon describes various aspects of the garment including color, fabric, and laundering information. The intelligent garment tags further include an alert component for providing laundering alerts (e.g., a flashing or colored light, a warning noise, or a vibration) based on, for example, garment color compatibility or laundering device (e.g., washing machine or clothes dryer) compatibility.
Abstract:
A system comprising a machine-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for collecting body measurements of a human user using a body measurement garment is provided. The body measurement garment comprises a plurality of sensors configured to produce a set of output data. The method may include receiving the set of output data from the body measurement garment and determining a plurality of body measurements from the output data. The method may further include generating a body shape model representing the shape of the body of the user. The method may also include generating a garment fit model representing the fit of a garment on the human user.
Abstract:
Systems, methods and media for managing digital rights in three-dimensional (3D) printing are provided. In one example, a registration of digital rights in a first 3D object is received from a first user and via a portal. The registration includes a certification device. The registration including the certification device is published in an online environment, and the first 3D object is made available for replication by second users via the portal. A request for access to the digital rights in the first 3D object is received from a second user for 3D printing of the first 3D object. Permission is granted under the digital rights in the first 3D object to the second user for printing the first 3D object. Instructions are electronically transmitted to a 3D printer to print the first 3D object, and the 3D printer prints the first 3D object based on the instructions.
