    摘要: An electrophotographic printer for printing on front & rear sides of reel paper has an electro-thermally operating fixing station (23) with a heated fixing roller (86) and a feed roller (87) which can be pivoted between at least one position against the fixing roller and another position away from the fixing roller. With the aid of an unheated, pivoting paper guide saddle (93), the reel paper is guided around the fixing roller (86) at a predeterminable wrapping angle (U) for the purpose of preheating before the actual fixing. In order to fix the printed image on the reel paper (12) in an offset-free and smudge-free manner during the starting and stopping process, the movements of the elements of the fixing station (23) and the transport of the paper are coordinated in such a way that there is no relative movement between the fixing roller (86) and toner image on the reel paper (12) when the reel paper is placed against the fixing roller (86) and when the reel paper (12) is stripped off the fixing roller ( 86).

    摘要: An electrophotographic printer has an electro-thermally operating fixing station (23) with a heated fixing roller (86) and a feed roller (87) which can be pivoted on and away. With the aid of an unheated, pivoting paper guide saddle (93), the reel paper is guided around the fixing roller (86) at a predeterminable wrapping angle (U) for the purpose of preheating before the actual fixing.     摘要: An arrangement for the lateral positioning of a recording medium (100) in a printer or photocopier comprises a scanning arrangement (S) for establishing the ACTUAL position of the recording medium and a motor-drivable roll arrangement consisting of a counter-roll (201) and a pressure roll (205) which can be pivoted onto and away from the counter-roll (201), between which rolls the recording medium is guided. Furthermore, an apparatus (E) is provided for the controllable adjusting of the pressing force at the feed roll (205) on the counter-roll (201) along its roll length, and a control arrangement (P) which registers the ACTUAL position of the recording medium (100) via the scanning arrangement (S) and adjusts the pressing force of the feed roll (205) via the said apparatus (E) as a function of a predeterminable REFERENCE position. The arrangement is used preferably in the fuser station of an electro-photographic printer for the controllable lateral positioning of the recording medium (100).

The sensor is an optical sensor or a capacitive sensor, and the charge applied to the toner by the charging device is varied depending on the sensor output. A voltage applied to the developer drum may also be varied.

    摘要: In a developer station for an electrophotographic printing or copying machine, there is provided a developer drum apparatus for producing optimum inking density and resolution of the charge images being passed through the developer station on a charge image carrier. The apparatus comprises a rotating hollow cylinder within which is contained a stationary magnet arrangement in the form of a series of rows of permanent magnets, each row being disposed longitudinally with the cylinder, supported on a stator carrier. The first row of magnets is disposed adjacent the lower end of the cylinder for attracting developer mix particles from the floor of the developer station housing and the succeeding rows of magnets are disposed along the transport path of particles on the cylinder to promote transport of the mix upwardly on the cylinder to an inking gap area with the charge image carrier. A final row of relatively wider magnets is disposed at the upper end of the cylinder with its longitudinal centerline substantially offset from the inking gap to promote uniform distribution of the mix along the length of the cylinder just prior to inking. The layer amount of developer mix carried by the rotating cylinder is set by an adjustable doctoring strip disposed beneath the first magnet row and a narrow transport channel defined between the cylinder and a housing wall along the mix transport path.

    摘要: Apparatus for the clean filling of toner from a container into a developer station reservoir in a non-mechanical printing or copying machine comprises a laterally disposed guide trough having a centering portion at one end and a seating surface disposed adjacent the fill opening of the reservoir at the other end. A pivot recess is disposed between the centering trough and the seating surface to provide a pivot line about which a container can be laterally inverted from an initial upstanding position in the centering trough to a laterally disposed position in the seating surface with the container opening overlying the fill hole. Subsequently, the container is vertically inverted into the fill hole where the discharge end of the container rests against stop pins disposed in the hole. The reservoir hole is provided with a pivotable cover member which is upraised during filling operation and is provided with bracket surfaces which form a mount for the vertically inverted container, allowing the container to be shaken without risking that the container will slip out of the fill hole.
