Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving a preamble is provided. The apparatus includes an STF and an LTF including a plurality of repetition patterns, a CDF for collision sensing among messages, a CEF for channel estimation, and a CSF for carrier sensing, wherein the time length of the STF equals the time length of two orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for recognition of information contained in a frame are provided. The method includes performing synchronization over a synchronization period of the frame, and recognizing, through an indication block of a listen period included in the frame, whether information exists in the remaining part of the listen period after the indication block.
Abstract:
A terminal and method for recognizing a communication target within a visible range. The method of a terminal to recognize a communication target includes obtaining location information of a communication target whose identification information is unknown within a visible range of a terminal user; and recognizing a relative location of the communication target with respect to the terminal based on the obtained location information and displaying the recognized relative location of the communication target.
Abstract:
An apparatus for spatial filtering receives a signal transmitted from a first terminal and detects a synchronization start point in time from a transmission frame included in the signal. The apparatus for spatial filtering demodulates a user-defined sequence included in the transmission frame and the at least one SRJBF sequence when the synchronization start point in time is detected, and then estimates a relative angle based on the demodulated user-defined sequence and SRJBF sequence.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a synchronization method in a distributed wireless communication system and a terminal supporting the same. In a synchronization method, a terminal splits a synchronization period into a plurality of backoff slots and randomly selects a backoff counter using the contention window. Furthermore, the terminal checks whether a channel is idle during at least one of the plurality of backoff slots and changes the backoff counter based on a result of the check.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a method of performing synchronization in a distributed wireless communication system, and a terminal supporting the same. A distributed wireless communication system includes a plurality of networks. Time resources of each of a plurality of networks are divided into a synchronization slot, a discovery slot, a peering slot, and a data slot. A first terminal belonging to a first network determines whether a synchronization signal is received from a terminal belonging to a second network in the data slot of the first network. The first terminal detects whether it has met the second network that is out of synchronization with the first network if the synchronization signal is determined to have been received.
Abstract:
A random jitter beamforming method for reducing the influence of a side lobe to decrease a beam width, and a transmitter and a receiver using the same are provided. The random jitter beamforming method includes dividing a series of binary sequences to generate a plurality of bit groups, designating a beam pattern, corresponding to each of the bit groups, from a set of two or more beam patterns having the same gain and phase in a target direction, and forming a beam with the corresponding beam pattern, for each of the bit groups.
