Abstract:
A method provides an interworking service in a home network. In view of the above, the present invention provides a method for providing an interworking service in a home network, in which servers and adaptors existing in a home network can identify with each other and servers or adaptors are not doubly connected to a device.
Abstract:
Provided is an information providing service system and method based on an inter-device information exchange protocol. The information providing service system includes a plurality of devices on which a device architecture module and an information provision application for performing information exchange and remote control in a specific network are installed, and an information provision server configured to receive position information periodically transmitted by the information provision application of the respective devices, manage the position information according to the respective devices, receive a signal generated by a sensing means installed at a predetermined position in a specific place, find a position of the generated signal, search for the same device position information as the found position using an information provision application service module, and transmit predetermined guide information data to the information provision application of a device corresponding to the searched device position information.
Abstract:
A terminal for identifying a location of a user includes a transmitter configured to transmit data, a receiver configured to receive the data, a sensor configured to sense at least one piece of context information, and a controller configured to determine a priority order of area information, service set identifier (SSID) information, global positioning system (GPS) signal information, and the context information corresponding to each location, identify the location based on the priority order, and determine the priority order of the SSID information and the GPS signal information in response to retrieving a number of SSIDs.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing a home network service are provided. The method may include creating a user account in a server, receiving first initial setting information from an electronic device, transmitting second initial setting information to the electronic device, and receiving a message regarding registration of the electronic device from the server.
Abstract:
A system for providing virtual AV service includes a local device middleware (LDM) media server which stores AV contents and a resource cooperation server (RCS) which separates the AV contents from the LDM media server into video contents and audio contents. The video contents and the audio contents are reproduced by an LDM video renderer and an LDM audio renderer, respectively. An LDM control point (LDMCP) controls the LDM media server and the LDM media renderers using the LDM protocol and a virtual device ensembler (VDE) controls the RCS and the LDMCP.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus provides a multi-screen based multi-dimensional game service using a home network and a home server. The method includes determining a resolution of a game screen to be served based on terminal information provided from a user terminal, storing a view on a user location in a multi-dimensional shared game space as a game session, generating an object for the view based on the determined resolution, performing multi-view rendering using multi-dimensional scene data and a user game input, capturing video and audio generated through the multi-view rendering, encoding the captured video and audio, and transmitting encoded video and audio to the user terminal.
