    摘要: The present invention provides systems and methods for parallel interference suppression. In one embodiment of the invention, a processing engine is used to substantially cancel a plurality of interfering signals within a received signal. The processing engine includes a plurality of matrix generators that are used to generate matrices, each matrix comprising elements of a unique interfering signal selected for cancellation. The processing engine also includes one or more processors that use the matrices to generate cancellation operators. A plurality of applicators applies the cancellation operators to parallel but not necessarily unique input signals to substantially cancel the interfering signals from the input signals. These input signals may include received signals, interference cancelled signals and/or PN codes. The embodiments disclosed herein may be particularly advantageous to systems employing CDMA (e.g., such as cdmaOne and cdma2000), Wideband CDMA, Broadband CDMA and Global Positioning Systems (“GPS”) signals.

    摘要: Systems and methods are provided for directionally filtering signals by projecting a received signal onto a subspace substantially orthogonal to selected interfering signals. The received signal typically comprises at least one signal of interest, at least one selected interfering signal, and noise. The received signal may further comprise other signals, including non-selected interfering signals. The projection of the received signal results in substantially no contribution from the selected interference signals on the signal of interest. For example, substantially no residual energy of the selected interference signals remains as an influence on the signal of interest. In one embodiment, a system generates a converted matrix having a substantially orthogonal set of vectors. Each vector may represent one or more selected interfering signals. The vectors may comprise code characteristics of the selected interfering signals. A directional filter uses the matrix to perform the projection. As such, the filter may be configured to selectively “filter out” the interfering signals by suppressing the effects of the signals based on their code characteristics.

    摘要: The present invention provides systems and methods for decreasing interference in a selected coded signal. The system includes a matrix generator for generating a matrix. The matrix may comprise vectors, the elements of which are formed from components of the interference. The interference may exist in the form of co-channel and/or cross channel interference, such as that found in CDMA telephony. The components of this interference may, therefore, be code components of the interference that are used to fill elements of the vectors. Each element of a vector may represent a code component of an interfering coded signal. A processor uses the matrix to substantially remove the interference from the selected coded signal. For example, the processor may generate a projection operator that projects the coded signal substantially orthogonal to the interference such that the impact of interference on the selected coded signal is substantially reduced.

Once a presumed interfering signal(s) is acquired, parameters are determined that allow the interferer(s) to be modeled. An orthogonal projection (for projecting onto a subspace orthogonal to that spanned by the interferer(s)) is applied to the composite of all signals (y) for thereby projecting y onto this subspace, wherein the subspace is non-orthogonal to a representation of desired (but interfered) signal of the composite signals. With the receiver properly equipped to perform this projection operation, interfering signals, multipath, spoofing and/or meaconing can be effectively diminished.
