    摘要: The monitor is spaced a small distance from the curved path of the travelling thread to sense defects in the thread. In one embodiment, the monitoring means is spaced from the winding surface of a chuck to sense broken threads or an accurate build-up of the thread package. The monitoring means includes a detector head with a charge collector rod for sensing changes in electrical potential of the rod due to contact with a travelling thread part. The monitoring means can be moved away from the chuck to maintain a constant distance from the thread package being wound on a bobbin tube on the chuck.

    摘要: Threads made from thermoplastic materials are textured, in that they are heated by a delivery medium in a delivery channel and conveyed through an orifice into a stuffer box where they are stuffed to form a plug. In order to maintain plug formation constant, the orifice area is monitored in a sensory manner and the measured signals are used for monitoring purposes as a measured quantity in a control loop, in which the supply of damming back medium, the conveying away speed of the plug, the position of the stuffer box walls, or the supply of delivery medium are used as manipulated variables. The measuring signals produced by monitoring can be compared with thresholds to produce control signals corresponding to the comparison result for activating alarm, warning or stopping elements. Sensory monitoring is carried out by measuring the dynamic pressure prevailing in the delivery channel close to the orifice, by measuring the dynamic pressure in a fluidic nozzle issuing into the stuffer box, or by monitoring with an optical sensor the interior of the stuffer box.

    摘要: Winding of threads into cross-wound packages is effected by a moving traverse mechanism of a main traverse mechanism by which the thread is laid on to the package. The thread runs in a preliminary traverse mechanism between two elongated guide members which form therebetween a gap. The thread extends transverse to the guide members. The thread is additionally influenced by the preliminary traverse mechanism by means of air streams flowing in the longitudinal direction of the gap, these air streams being controlled with respect to timing. In this way, the thread is relatively uniformly tensioned, so that the operation of laying the thread into the package can be performed by the main traverse mechanism with greater precision. In the preliminary traverse mechanism, the thread practically does not come into contact with any fixed components, since no such components are required for its guidance and within the gap the thread is located in a kind of air cushion. Thus the thread is treated gently while there is no wear of moving parts in the preliminary traverse mechanism.

    摘要: Threads consisting of one or more filaments are drawn by being pulled through a braking fluid. Threads consisting of a plurality of filaments are formed into a ribbon for the drawing process. Inside the drawing bath, the thread is heated to a temperature corresponding to its second order transition temperature and is braked in such a way that its tension reaches the tension necessary for drawing the filament or the filaments. Through setting and/or controlling the length of the thread path inside the braking fluid, the viscosity of the fluid, additional mechanical braking means and/or the flow characteristics in the bath, the process is made adaptable for different thread materials and different thread speeds and can be optimized for thread quality. The device for carrying out the process has a quasi-closed main chamber through which a braking fluid is circulated. An antechamber with a variable fluid level may be arranged in front of the entrance to the main chamber. The chambers are formed by two parts that can be folded apart to facilitate threading up.

    摘要: A method for drawing a synthetic thread having a fibril bundle delivers the thread as a ribbon of substantially parallel fibrils through a drawing bath to effect a hydrodynamic braking of the filaments and simultaneous drawing of the filaments. A ceramic pin is used to form the fibrils into parallel relation and substantially in one plane. A second ceramic pin may also be used as a mechanical brake to add to the hydrodynamic braking action by the liquid in the drawing bath. The base and cover of the drawing device are provided with channels to define the flow path for the bath liquid as well as inlet and outlet channels for the liquid. Suction nozzles or air nozzles may be provided at the inlet and outlet ends of the flow paths to remove excess liquid from the fibrils.
