A method is used for creating a biological feature data in an electronic apparatus with a user-operable controller. The method includes: capturing at least a biological feature of a user in response to a control signal generated by the controller due to a manipulating input operation of the user, thereby generating a biological feature data for user verification; and storing the biological feature data for user verification in the electronic apparatus while normally executing the control signal to perform a function corresponding to the manipulating input operation of the user.

A dialing method of a mobile phone having no physical keyboard is provided. The dialing method includes the following steps. Firstly, a dialing instruction is enabled. Then, a virtual keyboard and a voice recognition module are enabled according to the dialing instruction, so as to receive an input datum from a user. Further, the mobile phone performs a dialing function selected by the user.

Methods and systems for screening incoming calls for use in a device having telecommunication capability. An incoming call from a caller is received. In response to the incoming call, a prompt is generated to the caller, and a response corresponding to the prompt is received therefrom. It is determined whether the response conforms to a specific answer. If so, the device indicates the reception of the incoming call. The prompt and response may be voice and/or text.

A method for setting a voice tag is provided, which comprises the following steps. First, counting a number of phone calls performed between a user and a contact person. If the number of phone calls exceeds a predetermined times or the user fails to perform a voice dialing before calling to the contact person within a predetermined duration, the user is inquired whether or not to set a voice tag corresponding to the contact person after the phone call is complete. If the user decides to set the voice tag, a voice training procedure is executed for setting the voice tag corresponding to the contact person.

In response to the event, a sensor is activated to detect a presence of at least one object. If the presence of the object is not detected, the normal procedure for the event is performed. If the presence of the object is detected, the specific procedure for the event is performed. In some embodiments, the executed specific procedure includes inactivating a display unit.
Abstract:
A method of operating a handheld electronic device and a touch interface apparatus and a storage medium using the same are provided. In this method, an operating interface displayed on a touch screen of the handheld electronic device is used to operate a function module of the handheld electronic device. First, the function module of the handheld electronic device is activated to display a user interface corresponding to the function module on the touch screen. Next, an operating function of the function module is activated, so as to display a corresponding operating interface on the touch screen. In the meantime, the user interface of the function module is reduced simultaneously and displayed on an area of the touch screen excluding the operating interface. Accordingly, a convenient operating interface is provided for the user to operate while the content of original displayed frame remains.

When an input tool touches the first touch pad and the second touch pad simultaneously, a touch voltage signal is generated on a common contact of the second touch pad and the impedance unit, wherein the resistance of the impedance unit is greater than that of the input tool. The microprocessor executes a specific function according to the touch voltage signal.

In a method of switching a locked state of an electronic device with a user-verifying function, a biologic feature data from a user is captured while receiving an input from the user for an operation when the electronic device is in a locked state. Whether the biologic feature data conforms to a reference biologic feature data is then determined. If it is determined that the biologic feature data conforms to the reference biologic feature data, the electronic device is switched from the locked state into a non-locked state and directly controls the electronic device to perform the operation according to the input when the biologic feature data is determined conforming to the reference biologic feature data.
