摘要： A liquid crystal display includes a gate line and a data line on a substrate and intersecting each other, a pixel region defined by the gate line and the data line, a pixel electrode in the pixel region, a thin-film transistor (TFT) in the pixel region, and a common electrode over or under the pixel electrode. The TFT is configured to apply a voltage to the pixel electrode. The common electrode is configured to generate an electric field with the pixel electrode and is on a higher layer than the data line. The common electrode is excluded in a region of the higher layer that overlaps the data line.
