Abstract: An approach is provided for providing an intermodal route isoline map. A routing platform determines real-time availability data of a plurality of modes of transport within a geographic area. The routing platform further computes an isoline based on the real-time availability data, wherein the isoline represents a geographic extent that is reachable from a starting location within a designated travel time using an intermodal route that combines at least two of the plurality of modes of transport. The routing platform further provides data to generate a user interface depicting a representation of the isoline in the intermodal route isoline map.

Abstract: An approach is provided for providing mobility insight data related to shared vehicles for a point of interest (POI). The approach also involves processing the shared vehicle data to determine mobility insight data. The mobility insight data, for instance, includes a shared vehicle usage pattern, a shared vehicle availability pattern, or a combination thereof under one or more contexts for travel to or from the POI. The approach further involves presenting the mobility insight data in a location-based user interface.

Abstract: An approach is provided for proactive booking of a shared vehicle. A routing platform determines that a user is leaving a location for a destination. The routing platform calculates a probability that the user will use a transport mode employing the shared vehicle for a route segment to the destination based on a context and a profile of the user. The routing platform initiates a creation of a proactive reservation of the shared vehicle based on determining that the probability meets or exceeds a threshold value. The proactive reservation is created without intervention of the user.

Abstract: An approach is provided for generating a dynamic navigation route based on the availability of a shared vehicle, for example, in a geofenced area for one embodiment. The approach involves identifying a navigation route along which a shared vehicle provider operates based, at least in part, on a distance threshold, wherein the navigation route is an optimal route. The approach also involves monitoring the navigation route to detect a change in current availability of the shared vehicle. The approach further involves recomputing the navigation route to include a route segment associated with the shared vehicle based on determining that the detected change indicates that the shared vehicle has become available.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product may be provided for providing on-street parking predictions. A system may include a memory configured to store computer program code instructions; and a processor configured to execute the computer program code instructions to receive service boundary geometry data for a service boundary from one or more shared vehicle service providers; provide on-street parking predictions, based on the received service boundary geometry data; and render a representation of the on-street parking predictions on a user interface of a user device. The processor may be further configured to receive a modification for the service boundary geometry data via the user interface of the user device; update the on-street parking predictions based on the modified service boundary geometry data; and update the representation of the on-street parking predictions on the user interface of the user device, based on the updated on-street parking predictions.
