Abstract:
Pigment based inks are provided. The inks include a non-polar carrier fluid; and a surface-functionalized pigment particle including a nitrogen-inked moiety to the surface of the pigment particle through a nitrogen link at one end of the nitrogen-linked moiety and a segment copolymer having at least two blocks attached at another end, the pigment particle suspended in the non-polar carrier fluid. A combination of an electronic display and an electronic ink employing the pigment and a process for making the pigment-based inks are also provided.
Abstract:
A three-dimensional printing kit can include a polymeric build material including thermoplastic elastomeric particles having a D50 particle size from about 2 μm to about 150 μm, and a fusing agent. The fusing agent can include water, from about 5 wt % to about 40 wt % lower alkyldiol organic co-solvent, and a radiation absorber to generate heat from absorbed electromagnetic radiation.
Abstract:
Surfactants are provided that have a hydrophobic tail portion and a hydrophilic head portion. The hydrophilic head portion includes a terminal dialkyl-substituted tertiary amine or a terminal cycloalkyl-substituted tertiary amine. Also provided are pigment-based inks employing the surfactant, a combination of an electronic display and the pigment-based inks, and a process for reducing conductivity in primary amine-based surfactants and improving reliability of electronic inks employing such surfactants.
