Abstract: A structure for reducing displacement of a magnetic sensor in an open loop magnetic core is provided. The structure can include a body having a first end and a second end. The structure can include a first elasticity component connected to the first end extending in a direction away from the body and a second elasticity component connected to the second end extending in a direction away from the body. The structure can include two clamp components connected to the body between the first and second ends, where the two clamp components are configured to secure the magnetic sensor. The structure can be compressible in response to an application of force to outer surfaces of the elasticity components.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems for a sensing deformation in a surface are disclosed herein. An example device may include a support unit including a first frame and a second frame. A first end of the first frame and a first end of the second frame are mechanically coupled to the surface. The sensing device includes a pin joint that mechanically couples the first frame to the second frame, such that a first relative movement between the first end of the first frame and the first end of the second frame is amplified to a second relative movement between a second end of the first frame and a second end of the second frame. The sensing device includes a sensor that senses the second relative movement between the second end of the first frame and the second end of the second frame.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for determining the cause of a battery condition, such as a thermal runaway event, are provided. An example battery safety evaluation system may include a battery having a housing and an interior battery compartment. The battery safety evaluation system may further include an external sensing element attached to the battery housing and configured to capture data representative of an external battery condition event. In addition, the battery safety evaluation system may include a controller for determining a cause of the battery condition based at least in part on a time sequence of events generated from the internal data captured by the internal sensing element and the external data captured by the external sensing element.
