    Abstract: An example system includes a housing configured to house a portion of an electric machine and a heat transfer material, the heat transfer material is configured to contact a conductor of the portion of the electric machine and to remove heat from the conductor and transfer heat to the housing. The system includes a coolant configured to remove heat from the housing. An inner surface of the housing comprises a plurality of structures configured to increase an inner surface area of the housing, wherein the plurality of structures are configured to contact the heat transfer material.

    Abstract: The disclosed technology generally relates to a compressor housing that includes a main housing portion and an end housing portion. The main housing portion is configured to house a compressor motor and an inlet housing. The inlet housing is configured to receive vapor refrigerant downstream of the compressor motor. The main housing portion and the end housing portion are configured to interface at a mating surface of the respective housing portions and define a volume. The end housing portion includes a sensor cavity extending into the volume toward an opening of the inlet housing.

    Abstract: A vapor cycle compressor includes a motor section and a compression section operatively engaged with the motor section. A refrigerant path is in the motor section and in the compression section. The refrigerant path includes: a compression refrigerant path, for a single phase compression refrigerant, in the compression section; an inner rotor shaft refrigerant path, for a single phase inner rotor shaft refrigerant, in the compression section and in the motor section; and a stator refrigerant path, for a two phase stator refrigerant, in the motor section.
