Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a client device and a network access node for transmitting and receiving a random access preamble which comprises a division of a set of resource blocks available for transmission of the random access preamble into at least two subsets of resource blocks, wherein each resource block in the set of resource blocks comprises a plurality of subcarriers, a first selection of resource blocks within the first subset of resource blocks and a second selection of resource blocks within the second subset of resource blocks, wherein the first selection of resource blocks is different to the second selection of resource blocks, and a mapping of a modulation sequence of the random access preamble onto at least one subcarrier in each selected resource block. Thereby, lower side-lobes of the auto-correlation function is achieved. Furthermore, the present disclosure also relates to corresponding methods and a computer program.

Abstract: A network access node and a client device for generating and using cubic phase polynomial sequences (si, sj) of length L with a third order coefficient value a3 belonging to the subset of sequences () are described. The network access node transmits a control message to the client device, wherein the control message indicates the cyclical shift value NCS and the third order coefficient value a3. The client device receives the control message and determines a cubic polynomial phase sequence (si) belonging to the subset of sequences () based on the cyclical shift value NCS and the third order coefficient value a3. The client device thereafter transmits the determined cubic polynomial phase sequence (si) as a random access preamble to the network access node.

Abstract: A transmitting device is described for a communication system. The transmitting device obtains an information message comprising information bits addressed for a receiving device and encodes the information message to obtain a codeword. The transmitting device rate-matches the codeword to produce a rate-matched codeword comprising systematic bits and parity-check bits. Furthermore, the transmitting device jointly interleaves the systematic bits and parity-check bits of the rate-matched codeword to obtain an interleaved codeword. The systematic bits of the interleaved codeword are mapped to modulation label positions of a modulation constellation with first reliabilities, and the parity-check bits of the interleaved codeword are mapped to modulation label positions of the modulation constellation with second reliabilities.

Abstract: A network node for a wireless communication system includes a processor and a transceiver, the processor being configured to generate a set of at least two synchronization signal sequences; construct a synchronization signal for each synchronization signal sequence to create a set of synchronization signals, such that each of the synchronization signals in the set of synchronization signals has an auto correlation and cross correlation below a threshold value with any other synchronization signal in the set of synchronization signals; generate a set of directional beam patterns, wherein each beam pattern in the set of directional beam patterns corresponds to one of the synchronization signals in the set of synchronization signals; and wherein the transceiver is configured to transmit the synchronization signals in the set of synchronization signals using the beam pattern for each synchronization signal over a same time frequency resource.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention relates to a transmitting device and to a receiving device. Abstract: A transmitter and a method therein, configured for generating a synchronization signal for Device-to-Device (D2D) communication utilizing a Single Carrier-Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) waveform. Abstract: A first communication device acting as a transmitter is configured to generate a communication signal comprising a set of interleaved discrete Fourier transform (DFT) precoded symbols which have been interleaved based on a permutation polynomial. The first communication device transmits the communication signal to a second communication device acting as a receiving device. Upon reception of the communication signal, the second communication device deinterleaves the set of interleaved DFT precoded symbols of the communication signal based on an inverse permutation polynomial.

Abstract: Devices, methods and computer readable medium for two-part feedback information transmission in wireless communications are provided. The two-part feedback information transmission is adopted, e.g., for improved downlink multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) precoding in time-division duplex (TDD)-based communication systems. The feedback information transmission allows compensating for adverse effects of incomplete UL-DL reciprocity for DL MIMO precoding caused by mismatched DL and UL channel measurements. The feedback information transmission being two-part allows low overhead for the feedback information.
