Abstract: A random access method and a device are provided, to enable a device in the Internet of Things to implement random access. The method includes: selecting, by a terminal from at least two frequencies, frequencies used to send a physical random access channel PRACH signal, as frequencies occupied by target PRACH resources, where the at least two frequencies each have a preset bandwidth, and there is no intersection between frequency bands of the at least two frequencies; generating, by the terminal, a target PRACH signal based on the frequencies occupied by the target PRACH resources, a root allocated by a base station, and a cyclic shift corresponding to the root allocated by the base station; and sending, by the terminal, the target PRACH signal to the base station on the target PRACH resources.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a resource management indication method and apparatus. Abstract: The present invention provides a data transmission indication method, an access point and a terminal. The method includes: sending, by an access point, orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) physical layer signaling to a terminal. The OFDMA physical layer signaling indicates, to the terminal, a subchannel allocated for the terminal, so that the terminal determines the subchannel according to the OFDMA physical layer signaling. The OFDMA physical layer signaling includes an identifier of the terminal and subchannel information corresponding to the identifier of the terminal. In the method provided in an embodiment of the present invention, a manner in which the access point allocates a subchannel for each terminal according to OFDMA physical layer signaling enables the access point to indicate subchannels for more terminals.

Abstract: A network out-of-synchronization state processing method and apparatus, and a network access method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: if a first network device does not receive, in a first time length after the first network device determines that a terminal is in a network out-of-synchronization state, a measurement message reported by a second network device in a signal coverage area of the first network device, instructing at least one second network device in the signal coverage area of the first network device to send paging signaling to the terminal; and setting a network status of the terminal to a detached state if the first network device determines that in a second time length, no second network device in the signal coverage area of the first network device receives a paging response sent by the terminal, and that the terminal is still in the network out-of-synchronization state.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for timing advance (TA) synchronization for uplink (UL) data transmissions are provided. A base station transmits a TA instruction to a UE. The TA instruction indicates one of at least two TA options. The first TA option indicates direct initial grant-free (GF) uplink (UL) data transmissions. The second TA option indicates indirect initial GF UL data transmissions with the UE initiating TA reference signaling for updating a TA parameter of the UE. The UE performs an initial GF UL data transmission to the base station based on the TA instruction.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a signal transmission method and apparatus. The method includes: modulating, by using a phase-shift keying PSK scheme with rotation of a first angle, at least a part of pilot information carried in at least one signaling symbol in a signaling field of a data packet, to obtain modulated pilot information; and sending, to a receive end, a data packet that carries the modulated pilot information. A modulation scheme different from a conventional modulation scheme is used in the embodiments to modulate pilot information carried in a signaling symbol in a signaling field of a data packet, so that a data packet format corresponding to the modulation scheme can be effectively detected at a receive end.
