    摘要: The present invention provides a ranging method and apparatus, a frame structure includes one or more downlink service time slots, a guard interval between downlink sub-frame and uplink sub-frame and one or more uplink service time slots, and the method includes calculating start time of the first uplink service time slot, configuring the start time as reference time; generating a ranging signal; subtract a sum of time period needed for sending the ranging signal and reference time delay from the reference time and configure obtained time result as time of starting to send the ranging signal; subtract the length of a special ranging time slot from the reference time and configure obtained time result as time of starting to receive the ranging signal by a BS; receiving and processing the ranging signal. By the method and apparatus, all kinds of interference are minimized and an optimum ranging function is implemented.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a signal transmission method and apparatus used in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) wireless communication system, to enhance stability of signal transmission and resist time-frequency dispersion. The signal transmission method used in the OFDMA wireless communication system provided by an embodiment of the invention includes: converting an L×1 symbol vector into an N×1 modulating signal vector according to a loading factor fed back by a receiving party, in which value of N is known, both L and N are natural numbers larger than one, N is larger than or equal to L, the loading factor is a ratio of L and N; mapping the N×1 modulating signal vector into N time-frequency grids; and converting the N time-frequency grids into a signal waveform and sending the signal waveform to the receiving party.

    摘要: A time division duplex wireless communication system based on Code Spreading-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (CS-OFDMA) and a smart antenna includes: an antenna array and multichannel transceiver, a space processor, a demodulator, an L2 processor and a modulator. The CS-OFDMA system provided by the present invention combines synchronous CDMA technique and OFDMA technique, overcomes the severe ISI caused by spectrum-spreading by the conventional CDMA system while transmitting wideband data, effectively counteracts frequency-selective fading and inter-cell interference, and is beneficial to reliable transmission of narrowband voice and wideband data and also beneficial to co-frequency networking.

    摘要: A method and system for mitigating interference in a communication system, comprising at least one base station and at least one terminal, are disclosed. The base stations and terminals communicate through a channel existing between them, and the channels include at least a first signal channel and a second signal channel. The method includes determination of channel, noise and self-interference characteristic, computation of a rate limit of the channels, computation of the rate assignment of the channels, and assignment of the computed rate assignments to the channels. In another aspect of the present invention, the method includes determination of channel characteristics; computation of a power control margin, self-interference characteristics, power control command; and assignment of the computed power control command to each communicating terminal and base station. The above power and rate control methods may operate jointly to mitigate both intra-cell and inter-cell interference in wireless communication systems.

    摘要: A communication system having an adaptive antenna array subsystem generates calibration information for the adaptive array subsystem by measuring the amplitude and phase of modulated signals within the subsystem at the antenna array mount and at the back plane mount for the transmit and receive array. The calibration information is used to more accurately perform beamforming for both received an transmitted information signals. The communication system uses a time diversity duplex (TDD) synchronous code division multiple access (SCDMA) protocol for wireless communication between remote terminals and a base station. The calibration means uses a combination combiner and splitter having matched micro strip lines incorporated into a printed circuit board in either the antenna array mount or the back plane.
