    摘要: A stereoscopic display device determines whether an input image is a two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) image, and converts the resolution of a display panel based on determination results. When the input image is displayed by execution of a specific program, the start signal, the end signal, or the inactivation signal of the specific program is detected. With the start signal of the program detected, the stereoscopic display device determines whether the program is a 2D or 3D program. With the end signal or the inactivation signal of the program detected, the stereoscopic display device determines whether the image to be displayed on the display panel is a 2D or 3D image. The display device converts the resolution of the display panel according to the determination results.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a stereoscopic image display device including an active barrier for varying a barrier display pattern so as to display various stereoscopic images. In further detail, the stereoscopic image display device includes a display panel, a barrier, a barrier driver, and a controller. A stereoscopic image is displayed on the display panel. The barrier is placed corresponding to the display panel, and includes a plurality of liquid crystal cells arranged in a matrix format. The barrier driver drives the barrier such that the barrier display pattern may be a display pattern corresponding to the image signal by controlling the respective plurality of liquid crystal cells to become selectively transparent or opaque based on the mode information signal.
