    摘要: An ink tank cartridge for an ink-jet type recording apparatus is provided. The ink tank cartridge comprises a first chamber and a second chamber formed adjacent the first chamber. A porous member is housed in the second chamber. A partition wall separates the first chamber from second chamber, which communicate through a communication hole therethrough which extends along a portion of the width of the partition wall. An ink supply port extends through a wall of the first chamber and supplies ink to the exterior of the cartridge from the porous member. An air vent is spaced from the ink supply port provides ambient air to the second chamber. The pressure in the first chamber and the second chamber is at a value less than normal atmospheric pressure, and a pressure difference which retains the ink in the first chamber is also maintained between the first and second chambers by the surface tension of the porous member in the vicinity of the communicating hole. The first and second chambers, partition wall, communicating hole, air vent port and ink supply port are positioned and dimensioned so that a pressure difference between the chambers is not maintained as ink is transmitted through the ink supply port, and ink is supplied from the first chamber to the porous member in the second chamber as required until the pressure difference between the chambers is restored.

    摘要: An ink tank cartridge for an ink-jet type recording apparatus is provided. The ink tank cartridge comprises a plural number of first chambers and a plural number of second chambers adjacent to and associated with a first chamber, each pair of first and second chambers being formed as an integral unit. The ink tank cartridge also has a partition wall disposed in the cartridge which separates each second chamber from an associated first chamber, the two chambers communicating through a communicating hole positioned near the bottom of the partition wall disposed between the associated chambers. The communicating hole extends only a portion of the width that the partition wall. Finally, a plural number of ink supply ports, each extending through a wall of a respective one of the plural number of first chambers, supply ink to the exterior of the ink cartridge from each respective porous member of the plural number of porous members.

A media group definition defining one or a plurality of groups each combining a plurality of specified media with one or a plurality of feedable search media is added to each print job. The printing apparatus acquires the media group definition from the received print job, acquires, from the media group definition, feedable search media corresponding to the specified media for each page included in the print job, searches for a sheet feed stage storing any one of the feedable search media based on sheet feed stage information, feeds the print medium from the detected sheet feed stage, and prints the page on the print medium.

    摘要: A method of injecting a liquid into a liquid container detachably mounted on a liquid consuming device, the liquid container including: a liquid containing chamber in which the liquid can be contained; a liquid supply hole connectable to the liquid consuming device; a liquid guide passage for guiding the liquid contained in the liquid containing chamber to the liquid supply hole; an air communicating passage communicating the liquid containing chamber with an air; and a liquid residual quantity sensor provided in the liquid guide passage and for outputting different signals between in a case where the liquid guide passage is filled with the liquid and in a case where the liquid guide passage includes air entered thereinto, wherein the liquid containing chamber including at least three liquid containing chambers, and wherein the liquid containing chambers are mutually connected so as to have a descending connection where a pair of the liquid containing chambers are mutually connected so that a liquid flow in the liquid guide passage is a descending flow from above to below and an ascending connection where a pair of the liquid containing chambers are mutually connected so that the liquid flow in the liquid guide passage is an ascending flow from below to above, the method includes: forming an injection port, which communicates with the liquid containing chamber, in the air communicating passage; injecting a predetermined amount of liquid through the injection port; and sealing the injection port after injecting the liquid.
