Abstract: Methods for determining the presence of an unmeasured chemical in an environment can include receiving a plurality of sensor readings from a plurality of chemical sensors, wherein each chemical sensor of the plurality of chemical sensors is configured to detect a different chemical, determining a cross-sensitivity pattern from one or more unmeasured chemicals in the plurality of sensor readings, comparing the cross-sensitivity pattern with one or more known chemical patterns, determining that the cross-sensitivity pattern matches at least one of the one or more known chemical patterns that correspond to one or more chemicals, and identifying one or more unmeasured chemicals based on determining that the cross-sensitivity pattern matches the at least one of the one or more known chemical patterns.

Abstract: A method of limiting noise damage to an individual includes receiving, by an ototoxicity application stored in a non-transitory memory and executed on a processor, a first individual exposure level to a first ototoxic condition in an area, correlating the first individual exposure level to an ototoxic effect, determining a noise level threshold based on the correlating, receiving a noise level exposure in the area, comparing the noise level threshold with the noise level exposure, and sending an alert when the noise level exposure exceeds the noise level threshold. The noise level threshold is below a standard noise level threshold.

Abstract: In an embodiment, an apparatus (e.g., a gas detection device) includes a housing, a printed circuit board (PCB), one or more radio modems with a switching network. The housing includes a conductive cover and the cover plays as an antenna. The PCB may be fixed in the housing and includes a ground plane and a plurality of conductive feeds. Each feed are vertically mounted directly or indirectly on the PCB. When the cover is attached to the housing, each of the feeds electrically contact a respective connection point on the antenna. The switching network is to configure which feed should be connected to the radio modem. A extra grounding resistor is mounted or not to change antenna type to enhance the performance of antenna.

Abstract: Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for communication between one or more personal protection equipment (PPE) devices, a mobile device, and a central monitoring station. Personnel may wear PPE devices for detection and communication. These portable devices may communicate wirelessly, over a wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) network, via Bluetooth, or another wireless connection. Systems may include a smartphone application operable to receive and combine information from each of the PPE devices. The application may also display the information to the user. In some embodiments, the application may transfer the data to a cloud storage network via a cellular network. Additionally, the application may communicate the combined data from all of the PPE devices to the central monitoring station.
