Abstract: The time-frequency resources of a particular numerology may be used to transmit OFDM symbols that have a cyclic prefix that is longer than the cyclic prefix of other OFDM symbols. This may complicate alignment across different numerologies. Time-frequency resource partitions are disclosed herein that may assist in symbol alignment and/or subframe alignment across the different numerologies.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that allow a transmit receive point (TRP) that is a member of a group of TRPs to convey a characteristic of the group through the transmission of a synchronization sequence. A transmit receive point in a first group of TRPs transmits with a first synchronization sequence. A TRP in a second group of TRPs transmits with a second synchronization sequence, the first and second synchronization sequences being different from each other. The TRPs of the first group share a common first characteristic and the TRPs of the second group share a common second characteristic. The transmission of the first synchronization sequence conveys the first common characteristic, and the transmission of the second synchronization sequence conveys the second common characteristic.

Abstract: A method for wireless communications includes receiving signaling for indicating a time division duplexing (TDD) frame structure configuration from a base station. The TDD frame structure configuration corresponds to a time duration of 0.1 ms, 0.125 ms, 0.2 ms, 0.25 ms, 0.5 ms, or 1.0 ms, the TDD frame structure configuration including two switching points between downlink transmissions and uplink transmissions. The method further includes communicating downlink and uplink transmissions according to the TDD frame structure configuration. The TDD frame structure configuration may further include a guard period for separating the first downlink transmission and the first uplink transmission in the time domain.

Abstract: It is possible to reduce the processing intensity of blind detection by configuring user equipments (UEs) to search for fewer than all possible DCI formats defined for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), as this reduces the number of searches performed by the corresponding UE during blind detection. The UE may select the subset of DCI formats to search for during blind detection based on various criteria, such as an air interface configuration assigned to the UE, a UE group to which the UE belongs, a transmission mode used by the UE, a re-transmission scheme assigned to the UE, a characteristic (e.g., size, location) of the UE's search space, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: Methods and devices are provided for communicating data in a wireless channel. In one example, a method includes adapting the transmission time interval (TTI) length of transport container for transmitting data in accordance with a criteria. The criteria may include (but is not limited to) a latency requirement of the data, a buffer size associated with the data, a mobility characteristic of a device that will receive the data. The lengths may be manipulated for a variety of reasons; such as for reducing overhead, satisfy quality of service (QoS) requirements, maximize network throughput, etc. In some embodiments, TTIs having different TTI lengths may be carried in a common radio frame. In other embodiments, the wireless channel may partitioned into multiple bands each of which carrying (exclusively or otherwise) TTIs having a certain TTI length.
