Abstract: The present disclosure provides example signal sending and receiving methods, apparatuses, and devices. One example signal sending method includes a network device sending a first wake-up signal to indicate a terminal device to receive a first data channel, where the first data channel carries at least one of a paging message or a short message, and the short message indicates at least one of whether a system message changes or whether to receive earthquake and tsunami warning system (ETWS) information or commercial mobile alert service (CMAS) information. The first data channel is sent by the network device.

Abstract: A communication method and apparatus relate to the field of communication technologies, to enable a network device to support communication of a new type of terminal device without additionally sending a set of complete system information. The method includes: The network device sends a SIB1 and supplementary information. Maximum transmission bandwidth of a first terminal device is different from that of a second terminal device. The supplementary information includes first information and/or second information, the SIB1 does not include the first information, and a parameter value of the second information included in the supplementary information is different from a parameter value of the second information included in the SIB1. After receiving the SIB1 and the supplementary information, the second terminal device accesses a network based on partial information other than the second information in the SIB1 and the supplementary information. Consumed resources for downlink transmission can be reduced.

Abstract: This application provides a reference signal sending method, a reference signal receiving method, an apparatus, and a device, to provide a reference signal sending or receiving mechanism. A first network device determines at least one frequency reference point. The first network device generates a reference signal based on the at least one frequency reference point, and sends the reference signal in the first frequency band. A frequency reference point is determined based on a frequency band. In this case, both the first network device that sends the reference signal and a second network device that receives the reference signal may determine the frequency reference point based on the frequency band, and the two network devices may determine a same reference signal at a same frequency domain location, so that the reference signal sent by the first network device can be correctly detected by the second network device.
