Abstract: Channel state information is reported in periodic and aperiodic reports for multiple component carriers or serving cells. Channel state information may be reported for a subset of aggregated downlink carriers or serving cells. For an aperiodic report, the carrier(s)/serving cell(s) for which channel state information is reported may be determined based on the request for the aperiodic report. A report collision may occur in a subframe between a periodic CSI report for a first serving cell and a report for a second serving cell. A priority rule may be used to resolve the report collision.

Abstract: An eNode-B for a multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) downlink transmission to at least first and second wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) via resource elements (REs) of first and second spatial layers, the eNode-B comprising a transmitter and a processor, the processor coupled to the transmitter. The processor configured to generate the MU-MIMO downlink transmission including: allocating a first set of the REs, as first resources, to the first spatial layer for the first WTRU, and a second set of the REs, as second resources, to the second spatial layer for the second WTRU, mapping a first WTRU-specific reference signal (RS) associated with the first WTRU on a subset of the first resources, and a second WTRU-specific RS associated with the second WTRU on a subset of the second resources, muting allocated REs of the first resources overlapping with the subset of the second resources used for the second WTRU-specific RS, and allocated REs of the second resources overlapping with the subset of the first resources used for the first WTRU-specific RS. The transmitter configured to send the MU-MIMO downlink transmission.

Abstract: The present application is at least directed to an apparatus on a network including a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for beamforming training. The apparatus also includes a processor, operably coupled to the non-transitory memory, capable of executing the instructions of monitoring a first beamforming training reference signal (BT-RS) and physical broadcast channel (PBCH) of a network node to acquire symbol timing and subframe timing, where a common part of the PBCH includes a first beam ID. The processor is also configured to execute the instructions of transmitting, to the network node, a beam ID feedback with a unique training sequence generated based on the first beam ID to establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection. The processor is further configured to execute the instructions of receiving, from the network node, a second BT-RS to perform beamforming training. The processor even further is configured to execute the instructions of receiving, from the network node, downlink control information (DCI) carrying one or more second beam IDs. The one or more second beam IDs are associated with one or more beams configured via RRC signaling. Resources of the second BT-RS are configured by a RRC message via the RRC connection.

Abstract: Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes may be transmitted via configured grants as well as scheduled grants. The configured grants may include time and frequency resources, and transmissions may occur across contiguous transmissions. HARQ process information, such as HARQ IDs and redundancy versions, may be communicated via a control channel, and the control channel may be multiplexed with the transmission resources of the configured grants. Retransmission timers may be used for HARQ processes conveyed via configured grants, and the transmitting apparatus may signal to a receiver when to send an acknowledgement. An acknowledgement may take the form of bitmaps for code block groups of a HARQ. A configured grant may be selected from among multiple configured grants based upon low latency, for example. A group of configured grants may be activated or deactivated via a single command.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for a more flexible use of bandwidth parts (BWP) and cells for the various transmissions within the BFR procedure, such as the UL beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) and the DL beam failure recovery response (BFRR). The proposed framework allows these transmission to occur in BWPs with different Id, as well as on different cells. Example benefits include support for BFR on DL-only SCells by allowing the BFR UL transmissions on another cell with UL, support for sequential/parallel multi-cell BFRQ for improved BFR reliability and latency performance, and support for less UE-initiated BWP switching for BFR.

Abstract: The present application describes a WTRU including a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for re-establishing a remote radio control (RRC) connection with a base station. The apparatus also includes a processor capable of executing instructions of determining, based upon a measurement in an active downlink bandwidth part (DL BWP), to initiate a random access channel (RACH) procedure. The processor also executes instructions of switching to a default uplink bandwidth part (UL BWP). The processor also executes instructions of initiating the RACH procedure. The process further executes instructions of transmitting a RA preamble using one of the RACH resources configured for the default UL BWP. The processor even further executes instructions of receiving a RA response. The processor yet even further executes instructions of switching from the default UL BWP to either an active UL BWP or another active UL BWP after re-establishing the RRC connection.
