Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for a more flexible use of bandwidth parts (BWP) and cells for the various transmissions within the BFR procedure, such as the UL beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) and the DL beam failure recovery response (BFRR). The proposed framework allows these transmission to occur in BWPs with different Id, as well as on different cells. Example benefits include support for BFR on DL-only SCells by allowing the BFR UL transmissions on another cell with UL, support for sequential/parallel multi-cell BFRQ for improved BFR reliability and latency performance, and support for less UE-initiated BWP switching for BFR.

Abstract: The present application describes a WTRU including a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for re-establishing a remote radio control (RRC) connection with a base station. The apparatus also includes a processor capable of executing instructions of determining, based upon a measurement in an active downlink bandwidth part (DL BWP), to initiate a random access channel (RACH) procedure. The processor also executes instructions of switching to a default uplink bandwidth part (UL BWP). The processor also executes instructions of initiating the RACH procedure. The process further executes instructions of transmitting a RA preamble using one of the RACH resources configured for the default UL BWP. The processor even further executes instructions of receiving a RA response. The processor yet even further executes instructions of switching from the default UL BWP to either an active UL BWP or another active UL BWP after re-establishing the RRC connection.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for prioritizing sidelink communication transmissions. In accordance with one example embodiment, a WTRU may include a processor, configured to receive vehicle-to-x communication (V2X) configuration parameters from a V2X network node. The V2X communication parameters may be associate with sidelink communications for a V2X service. The WTRU may send a user equipment (UE) information message to a gNB. The UE information message may include quality of service (QoS) information associated with the V2X service. The WTRU may further receive a radio resource control (RRC) configuration message from the gNB. The RRC configuration message may include an indication of a logical channel to be used for communication sidelink data associated with the V2X service, and one or more logical channel configuration parameters for the logical channel to be used for communication of the sidelink data associated with the V2X service. The WTRU may send at least one sidelink transmission comprising the sidelink data associated with the V2X service.

Abstract: The present application at least describes a frame structure in new radio. The frame structure includes a self-contained transmission time interval. The transmission time interval includes a control information region including plural beams. The interval also includes a downlink transmission channel region including plural beams. The frame structure is configured for downlink control information to be swept through the time interval. The frame structure is also configured for an uplink or downlink grant resource subsequently to be swept through the time interval. The present application is also directed to a method for configuring user equipment.

Abstract: Switching between Orthogonal Multiple Access (OMA) and Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) modes of a user equipment (UE) can be determined and indicated by a gNB to a UE at an RRC connected state using one or more of the following schemes: at an RRC (Radio Resource Control) layer with an RRC configuration message, at a MAC (Medium Access Control) layer with MAC CE (MAC control element) signaling, at a PHY (Physical) layer with DCI (Downlink Control Information) signaling, jointly with RRC configuration and DCI signaling, and/or jointly with RRC configuration and MAC CE signaling. The OMA or NOMA mode that the UE operates after the transition may be requested by the UE, indicated by the gNB, and/or may be based on one or more rules for OMA-NOMA switching.

Abstract: User equipment (UE) in beam-centric telecommunications cell may use a variety of listen-before-talk (LBT) procedures and hybrid channel access procedures for uplink transmissions are on different beams and configured or scheduled in contiguous or non-contiguous mode. UE behavior may be based on the LBT result across the different beams. A gNB may indicate LBT occasions to UEs. The UL numerology may be adjusted without LBT while near the end of a gNB's maximum channel occupancy time (MCOT). A gNB may use LBT procedures, before down link transmissions, using data, control, and reference signals, etc., across different beams.

Abstract: The present application at least describes a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) including a processor and non-transitory memory including stored instructions which are executed by the processor. The instructions include receiving, from a base station, configuration information indicating a set of channel state information interference channel measurement (CSI-ICM) resources for the WTRU. The configuration information indicates a period and an offset for the set of CSI-ICM resources. The instructions also include receiving, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) indicating a subset of the set of CSI-ICM resources. The instructions further include measuring the subset of CSI-ICM resources. The instructions even further include transmitting feedback to the base station based on the subset of CSI-ICM resources. The instructions yet even further include receiving a MAC control element (CE) indicating an activation of a CSI report from the base station.
