Abstract:
Logic may enable a number of Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) enabled mobile devices to establish Peer-to-Peer connectivity to allow users to connect their devices in an easy and convenient manner to share, show, print, and synchronize content. Logic may enable interoperability between services/applications from multiple vendors. Users may experience consistency due to services interoperability. Logic provide a procedure to enable multiple vendor's applications and services interoperability via methods and arrangements to enable Peer-to-Peer (P2P) connection limited to allow traffic from user-invoked services on, e.g., a Wi-Fi Direct connection.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are techniques to advertise and discover peer-to-peer services and connection attributes. In particular, services and connection attributes for a peer-to-peer network, like Wi-Fi Direct can be advertised and discovered using near field communication techniques by transmitting at least a handover select frame including an advertised services hash in the P2P attributes portion of the frame.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to identify and manage IoT protocols and associated devices. An example apparatus includes a gateway device to communicate according to a first protocol. The example gateway device includes a plugin agent to discover a first device and probe the first device to gather data regarding a protocol of the first device. The example plugin agent is to transmit the gathered data to a plugin manager to determine whether the first device is to communicate via the first protocol, and, when the first device is unable to communicate via the first protocol, determine a plugin for the gateway device to enable the gateway device to communicate with the first device, the plugin agent to provision the plugin for the gateway device with respect to the first device.
