    Abstract: The use of an organopolysiloxane of elastomeric nature used in combination with an organic phase for the preparation of a composition and/or in a composition for removing make-up from the nails, in particular by a solvent for nail varnish. The organic phase comprises at least one organic solvent or at least one mixture of cosmetic organic solvents capable of dissolving a nail varnish and having Hansen's mean solubility parameters dD, dP and dH which satisfy the following three conditions:(1) dD.ltoreq.20 (J/cm.sup.3).sup.1/2(2) dP.ltoreq.10 (J/cm.sup.3).sup.1/2(3) dH.ltoreq.15 (J/cm.sup.3).sup.1/2The products for the removal of make-up from the nails, according to the invention, can give the latter, after use, a lasting soft feel without spoiling them. They are capable of not producing phenomena of drying out of the nail, nail whitening or losses in nail gloss after removal of make-up.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a dermatologic or cosmetic composition, including a liquid fatty phase, and, as surfactant and thickener for the liquid fatty phase, particles of a crosslinked elastomeric solid polyorganosiloxane containing at least one oxyalkylenated group. Another embodiment of the invention relates to methods of using particles of a crosslinked elastomeric solid polyorganosiloxane containing at least one oxyethylenated group. The present invention is especially suitable for a care or make-up composition for human skin and lips, and overcomes the various drawbacks in known compositions. In particular, the present invention provides a composition for human skin and lips that results in a film that does not transfer; that has better cosmetic properties, freshness and matte-effect properties; and that is desirably longer-lasting than conventional “transfer-resistant” products, in particular the properties of slipperiness, of not feeling taut and of not drying out the lips, of having good staying power over time, particularly with respect to the color (no color change over time) and of not migrating, in particular into the folds of the skin. The invention applies not only to make-up products for human lips and skin, but also to care and/or treatment products for human lips and skin. The composition of the invention can also be applied to the scalp.
