摘要： A method of selecting a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index in to wireless communication system, the method including measuring a frequency selectivity of a receiving channel, selecting a MCS index having a coding rate below a prescribed coding rate threshold value if the measured frequency selectivity is greater than or equal to a specified frequency selectivity threshold, and selecting the MCS index having the coding rate above or equal to the prescribed coding rate threshold value if the measured frequency selectivity is less than the specified frequency selectivity threshold.

摘要： A method is described for transmitting signals in a mobile communication system which splits an information block into a plurality of split-information blocks and performs a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process upon each of the split-information blocks. A method is also described for reducing control information overhead by transmitting control information only through one control channel when splitting an information block and transmitting split-information blocks through a plurality of subframes or a plurality of resource blocks. The segmentation of the information block is performed in a physical layer to reduce medium access control (MAC) overhead and to simplify implementation.

The method of transmitting broadcasting information to a user equipment in an idle mode includes receiving information related to the idle mode, decoding a control channel assigned to a first paging subframe according to the information related to the idle mode, and receiving the broadcasting information via a second paging subframe indicated by the control channel regardless of the information related to the idle mode, if the decoding of the control channel is successful.

In a communication system having multiple independent transmission paths, a signal is transmitted by mapping it to different independent transmission paths at initial transmission and at retransmission, thereby obtaining diversity gain. Especially, real and ideal components of a transmission signal are mapped to different transmission paths, thereby obtaining additional gain.

摘要： A method for saving power in a multi-carrier wideband wireless access system is provided. A method for saving the power of a receiver in a multi-carrier wireless communication system includes acquiring multi-carrier information from a transmitter on a primary carrier, entering one or more secondary carriers satisfying a predetermined power saving mode entry condition out of one or more secondary carriers included in the multi-carrier information into a power saving mode, and receiving data during a listening interval according to the power saving mode on the one or more secondary carriers entering the power saving mode. The multi-carrier information includes at least one of information about a plurality of available carriers, information indicating the primary carrier and the one or more secondary carriers out of the plurality of available carriers, and information about the power saving mode entry condition of the one or more secondary carriers.
