    摘要: Disclosed is the utilization of two halves for a door with tops, bottoms, and sides defining circumambient outside portions and a window portion having tops, bottoms, and sides forming a window circumambient portion, in which the circumambient portion of the outside and the circumambient portion of the window opening constitute dams which will preclude the flow of a foaming material. When the two door halves are secured together, the interior voids are filled with an expanding foam such as a two part urethane. The foam can be inserted through ports in the bottom and/or the top. In the final form, the frame two halves are secured together adhesively by the foam which adheres to the entire inner skin of both halves. The foam also provides insulation. Additionally, the foam reinforced by the skins imparts substantial structural strength to the door.

    摘要: A recites full view door in which the frame portion is totally molded. It may be molded in a number of processes from polypropylene or other materials, with or without additives, and other plastics suitable for large molded frames. There is an outside section of the frame and an inside section which are modified for securement each to the other. Provision is made in the interior edges of the frame for receiving the pane of glass, and then a holding assembly is provided, primarily four pieces being top, bottom and the two sides which snap-fits into the inside portion of the frame and secures the window in removable engagement to the door. In the method, means are provided on the outer half and the inner half for snap-fittingly or press-fittingly engaging each other. In addition, sonic welding, gluing, and other means for securing the outer half and the inner half of the door are contemplated.

    摘要: A dental instrument with a large injection molded plastic handle has an elongated generally cylindrical symmetrical shape with first and second spaced apart ends. Anti-slip peripheral groves or slots are molded into the handle adjacent the first and second ends. Subsequent to the molding process, knurls are applied adjacent the first and second ends to improve the anti-slip characteristics of the handle. At least some of the knurling is positioned between the peripherally located grooves or slots. Stainless steel cones are affixed to the respective ends of the handle, either by ultrasonic welding or by positioning the cones in the molds, as inserts, and directly molding the plastic around retaining ends of the cones. Tips or points are press-fit and/or adhesively bonded into channels in the cones of the instrument. A single ended instrument carries a smooth, closed, cap at one of the ends.
