摘要: An access door may include a core, first and second stiles defined along opposites sides of the core such that the core between the first and second stiles defines a recessed pocket with each of the first and second stiles defining a channel therein extending longitudinally along an inwardly-facing edge thereof, bottom and top elongated panels each defining tongue members at opposite sides thereof and configured to be received transversely in the recessed pocket with the tongue members received within the channels defined along the inwardly-facing edges of the first and second stiles, wherein, with the top and bottom elongated panels received in the recessed pocket, exterior faces of the first and second stiles, exterior faces of the top and bottom elongated panels, and an exposed surface of the recessed pocket between the top and bottom elongated panels define an exterior surface of one side of the door.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of forming a composite door. A precursor frame sheet, comprising flaps, is formed by cutting a prepreg sheet. The precursor frame sheet is draped over a door-forming tool, comprising a frame face and flap supports, non-parallel to the frame face, such that each of the flaps of the precursor frame sheet is geometrically complementary with a corresponding one of the flap supports. A composite frame is formed by curing the precursor frame sheet, draped over the door-forming tool, wherein the composite frame comprises a first rail and a second rail. The composite frame is separated from the door-forming tool. The composite frame, first composite edge fittings, second composite edge fittings, a first composite side beam, a second composite side beam, and a composite skin are interconnected. The first composite side beam comprises a first-beam base and two first-beam sides, non-parallel to the first-beam base, and connecting the first composite side beam to the composite frame comprises connecting a first one of the two first-beam sides to the first rail.

摘要: An access door may include a core, stiles on opposites sides of the core, an elongated panel extending transversely between the stiles, wherein a major face of the door between the stiles defines one or more recessed pockets along a top edge of the elongated panel between and the stiles and the elongated panel, and a notch formed into the top edge of the elongated panel and extending along at least one of the recessed pockets, the notch extending downwardly into the top edge of the elongated panel so as to form a lip in the top edge of the elongated panel with the notch positioned between the lip and the one or more recessed pockets, the lip and the notch of the elongated panel together forming an accessory rail, wherein the accessory rail is configured to receive and support a complementarily configured hanger base of an accessory hanger.

In particular, the invention relates to steel-edge steel doors that have internal solid wood blocks that have one or more integral cantilever beams formed into the blocks to interact with the adjoined oppositely arranged door facings in order to eliminate visually apparent door telegraphing. The blocks are modified to contain notches formed therein to form the cantilever beams.

摘要: A method for making a door skin or making a door is provided. A wood board is first provided. The wood board comprises a surface having a first texture with a first plurality of grains, and at least one knot, which has a predetermined depth of crack. The surface of the wood board is scanned to obtain a first profile of the first texture. The first profile of the first texture is modified to provide a second profile of the second texture, which includes a second plurality of grains and the at least one knot. A mold comprising a metal surface is formed based on the second profile of the second texture. A door skin is molded from a polymer composite using the mold so as to provide an exterior surface having the second plurality of grains and the at least one knot.

摘要: An impact rated frame for sectional doors includes a frame assembly sandwiching a shield member and securely clamping a planar portion of a sectional door. The frame assembly and the shield member are fastened together with a plurality of fasteners driven through the frame assembly and the shield member. The impact rated frame further includes a decorative frame affixed to the frame assembly. The decorative frame seals against the planar portion of the sectional door and the shield member to prevent the frame assembly from contamination. The shield member may be transparent or opaque with multiple louvers.

摘要: A hidden-lock door panel for use in a container includes a door panel body, a covering lid, a first lock, and a second lock. The door panel body includes a hidden space. The covering lid is disposed corresponding to the hidden space and slidably connected to the door panel body. The first lock and the second lock are both disposed in the hidden space. The first lock is an electronic lock and is used to control whether the covering lid can be released to slide. The second lock is used to control the door panel body to be unlocked or locked with respect to the container. Accordingly, unknowing persons are prevented from opening or breaking the door lock.

摘要: This disclosure describes methods for making insulated door panels using separate façade members, in order to separate the manufacturing process of the exterior cosmetic design surface from the structural components of the door panels. This allows a same manufacturing line for the door panels to accept façade members of different designs and to produce door panels of these different designs. The facade members are made in separate production lines using various techniques, including casting, molding, vacuum forming, extrusion, and the like. The façade members are then fed into door panel production lines that fill polyurethane foams to form complete panels. The façade members become the exterior skins of the panels with minimum overlay with any backing structure to reduce material wastes, as well as lowering tooling costs for different designs due to the common backing structure that may be shared.
