摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide the ability to accurately match a particular computing device within a networked computing environment with an identity of that computing device. According to one aspect, a method for identifying a client computing device in a networked computing environment is provided. The method receives a discovery data record that includes a hardware identification and a logical identification, and in response, queries a plurality of client records for a matching client record. If a matching client record is identified by the query it is compared with the received discovery data record to identify the client computing device.

摘要: Methods and devices are provided for allowing upstream and downstream cable modem termination systems to be located in different physical locations. According to some embodiments of the invention, a downstream CMTS is located at a head end of a cable network and an upstream CMTS is located in each of a plurality of hubs in a cable network. Such a configuration provides more flexibility than prior art systems, especially when much of the traffic passing through the downstream CMTS is broadcast traffic, such as IP video, that will be passed to multiple hubs. Such configurations are more economical because they do not require every hub to have its own downstream CMTS. In preferred embodiments, the upstream and downstream functions are synchronized using a Global Positioning System (“GPS”) reference source.

摘要: A method, system, and architecture for managing computer systems is provided. A management system employs management objects (MOs) to provide administrators the ability to intuitively express the administrative intent in an information technology (IT) environment, and to act out the administrative intent based on the information gathered by the management system. Managed elements of an IT environment, such as, by way of example, hardware components, software applications, software updates, software distribution policies, configurations, settings, etc., may be expressed as MOs. Actions, such as, by way of example, detect, install/apply, remove, remediate, enumerate, etc., may be associated with the MOs. The management system manages the computer systems by deploying the appropriate MOs and their associated actions onto the computer systems, and performing the actions on the computer systems.

摘要: A composite film is disclosed, comprising a protective layer comprising an adhesion-modified polyolefin film, a coating layer comprising the reaction product of a crosslinkable compound, an initiator, and a binder; and a polycarbonate layer; wherein the coating layer is disposed between the protective layer and the polycarbonate layer, and the peel strength between the protective layer and the polycarbonate layer, as measured both before and after thermal treatment or a combination of thermal and UV treatment of the composite film, is about 1 to about 20 centi-Newtons per centimeter measured using 180° angle peel measured at a peel rate of 25.4 cm/min. A method for forming a composite film, and an article comprising the composite film, are also disclosed.

摘要: A distortion device includes a transconductance stage, a current amplifier stage electrically coupled to the transconductance stage, and a transformer portion electrically coupled to the current amplifier stage. The transconductance stage includes a first capacitor to provide a ground to a resistor, and voltage across the resistor develops a current through a second capacitor to the current amplifier stage. The current amplifier stage includes a positive half cycle and a negative half cycle. The positive half cycle and the negative half cycle amplify the current from the transconductance stage and supply the amplified current to a primary winding of a transformer in the transformer portion, and the output of the transformer portion includes a low-level signal.
