摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to providing effective interference control in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, a method for determining an interference level in a wireless communication system is described, including: determining a rise-over-thermal (RoT) metric based on an RoT received at each receiver antenna of an access network, the RoT relating to a ratio of a total energy to a thermal energy received at each receiver antenna; determining an interference-reduction factor (ρ) in relation to an interference energy reduced from the total energy received at each receiver antenna; and determining an effective rise-over-thermal (RoTeff) based on the RoT metric and the interference-reduction factor, the RoTeff relating to the interference level in the wireless communication system. The method may further include comparing the RoTeff with a threshold and relating the result of the comparison (e.g., the sector loading status) to each access terminal in communication with the access network.

摘要: A method and system for reverse link interference cancellation. One method comprises demodulating and decoding at least one signal sent from at least one access terminal and received by a first base station, sending demodulated, decoded information of the signal to a second base station, reconstructing the signal at the second base station, and subtracting the reconstructed signal from a buffer at the second base station.

摘要: Methods and systems for estimating and canceling pilot interference in a wireless (e.g., CDMA) communication system. In one method, a received signal comprised of a number of signal instances, each including a pilot, is initially processed to provide data samples. Each signal instance's pilot interference may be estimated by despreading the data samples with a spreading sequence for the signal instance, channelizing the despread data to provide pilot symbols, filtering the pilot symbols to estimate the channel response of the signal instance, and multiplying the estimated channel response with the spreading sequence. The pilot interference estimates due to a plurality of interfering multipaths are accumulated to derive the total pilot interference, which is subtracted from the data samples to provide pilot-canceled data samples. These samples are then processed to derive demodulated data for each of at least one (desired) signal instance in the received signal.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A transmitter may generate a first segmentation based on a first subset of control information and a second segmentation based on jointly encoding the first subset and a second subset of the control information. The transmitter may polar encode the first segmentation to generate a first codeword and the second segmentation to generate a second codeword, and transmit the first and second codewords. A receiver may determine a first bit sequence corresponding to the first subset based on decoding a first codeword and determine an error detection code (EDC) and a second bit sequence corresponding to the second subset based on decoding a second codeword. The receiver may perform error detection on the first and second bit sequences based on the determined EDC, and output the first bit sequence and the second bit sequence or a decoding error.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described for dynamic frozen bits of polar codes for early termination and performance improvement. A wireless device may receive a signal comprising a codeword encoded using a polar code. The wireless device may perform decoding of the codeword including at least: parity check of a first subset of decoding paths for making a decision on early termination of decoding of the codeword based on dynamic frozen bits, and generating path metrics for a second subset of the decoding paths that each pass the parity check based on the dynamic frozen bits, and performing error detection on a bit sequence corresponding to one of the second subset of the decoding paths based at part on error detection bits and the generated path metrics. The wireless device may process the information bits based on a result of the decoding.
