摘要: A method for controlling a brake pressure in at least two wheel brakes preferably mounted on one axle of the vehicle, is performed during a braking operation on a road surface having a heterogeneous coefficient of friction. This method works as follows: A low coefficient of friction side and/or a high coefficient of friction side is detected, a stability index representing the driving state of the vehicle is formed, the stability index is evaluated on the basis of the low coefficient of friction side and/or of the high coefficient of friction side and the brake pressure is altered in at least one wheel brake as a function of the value of the stability index and as a function of the result of the evaluation of the stability index on the basis of the low coefficient of friction side and/or the high coefficient of friction side.

摘要: An optical waveguide is provided comprising a non-solid core layer surrounded by a solid-state material, wherein light can be transmitted with low loss through the non-solid core layer. A vapor reservoir is in communication with the optical waveguide. One implementation of the invention employs a monolithically integrated vapor cell, e.g., an alkali vapor cell, using anti-resonant reflecting optical waveguides, or ARROW waveguides, on a substrate.

摘要: An optical waveguide is constructed so as to comprise a non-solid core layer surrounded by a solid-state material, wherein light can be transmitted with low loss through the non-solid core layer, and an electrical component is in fluid communication with the non-solid core layer. The electrical component controls movement of sample material through the non-solid core. The optical wave guide provides light confinement with structured dielectric materials. A presently preferred implementation of the invention employs anti-resonant reflecting optical waveguides (ARROWs or ARROW). Liquid-core waveguides may also be implemented using other dielectric confinement methods where the layers are periodic, such as Bragg mirrors, holey photonic crystal fiber, and omniguides.

摘要: A nozzle contact device for guiding and clamping the injection nozzle for an injection unit of an injection molding machine onto an injection mold includes a linear drive for moving the injection unit back and forth, and a guide carriage which can be driven by the linear drive, with the guide carriage being articulated to the injection unit. The invention is characterized in that the axis of rotation of the articulation between the guide carriage and the injection unit extends horizontally, and that this axis of rotation and the injection axis are arranged on planes which are parallel to each other, preferably on the same horizontal plane. Rotary joints or flexural joints can be provided. In addition, the rear part of the injection unit, in particular a screw mechanism can be height-adjustable. As a result, the nozzle contact force is introduced into the injection unit in the absence of a bending moment. No tilting is caused between the injection nozzle and the sprue bush of the injection mold.

摘要: The apparatus includes a sample tank for collecting and quieting a volume fraction of the fluid to be measured. The sample tank is in communication, at least at times, with a fluid containment via a filling line (L1) and a supply line (L2) connected, at least at times, with the filling line. The apparatus further includes a fluid measuring device having a vibration-type measurement pickup. A measuring tube of the measurement pickup is caused to vibrate during operation. The measuring tube is connected, at least at times, with the sample tank via a connecting line (L3), which is connected to an inlet end of the measurement pickup. The apparatus of the invention is especially suited for measuring liquids which are charged with gas and/or which tend to outgas.

摘要: A method for electronically regulating brake force distribution to the front axle and the rear axle of a motor vehicle (EBV control), wherein the rotational behavior of the vehicle wheels is determined, compared with the vehicle speed or vehicle reference speed and/or with the changes of these variables, and evaluated to limit the slip on the rear-wheel brakes by modulating the braking pressure. The brake force distribution is controlled in dependence on the sum signals obtained by addition of acceleration values determined on each individual rear wheel and/or by addition of slip values determined on each individual rear wheel. It is particularly arranged for to weight the sum signals with variable sum factors and evaluate them as a criterion for triggering the EBV control (so-called EBV plus control).
