An apparatus for connecting the coaxial cable to the circuit board includes a tube and an extension member.     摘要: Impending bearing failure, seal failure and drilling an undergage well bore, among other things, are immediately detected by sensing the presence of aqueous drilling fluid in a lubricant or other type of sealed cavity of a drilling tool or the like during a downhole drilling operation in an environment of aqueous fluid. Electrical conduction elements are preferably employed to sense the presence of the aqueous fluid. The electrical conduction means may employ a soluble anhydrous conductive material which, when in contact with the aqueous drilling fluid, dissolves or becomes an electrical conductor to signal the presence of the aqueous fluid. The aqueous fluid may additionally serve as an electrolyte between two dissimilar metals, thereby forming a galvanic cell, or as a conductor between a pair of contact terminals. In a drilling operation, a signal is preferably transmitted from a downhole location to the surface of the earth by mud pulse telemetry. In order to sense the drilling of an undergage well bore, material normally plugging the entrance of a conduit leading to the cavity is eroded during excessive wear, thereby admitting aqueous fluid to the cavity.

    摘要: The advancement angle of a borehole cut by a rotary drill bit of the type which forms a cylindrical sidewall, a drill face and a circumferentially extending gage corner, is controlled by removing a different amount of the gage corner material over a selected partial arc of the gage corner circumference during each rotation of the drill bit. The different amount of material removed causes the remaining arc of the gage corner circumference to apply a slight lateral force on the drill bit, thus forcing the drill bit in a desired direction. Gage corner removal apparatus include a hydraulic fluid jet impinging upon the gage corner. Selectively activating the gage corner removal apparatus during each of a plurality of subsequent drill bit revolutions results in a cumulative angle change effect. Control apparatus is attached to the drill string at a position at which gravity induced sag causes the drill string to contact the low side portion of the borehole. The control apparatus is arranged for deriving energy from contact and rotation of the drill string relative to the low side portion. The energy derived activates the gage corner removal apparatus.

The spring-mass system includes a mass member forwardly positioned from the chest of the wearer by a resilient cantilever spring support means. The resilient cantilever spring support means is arranged to effectively absorb, store and transmit energy in quantities generally comparable to that available in the chest area due to natural body movement. The spring support means may include a spring wire arrangement or an elastomer resilient base material. The spring-mass system can also be employed in a conventional brassiere to enhance natural breast movement.

    摘要: Positive lubricating elements and positive indexing elements are retained between raceways of two relatively rotating race members of a bearing assembly. Sliding load bearing segments may also be retained between the raceways, and the indexing elements derive force from relative rotation of the raceways to index or move the bearing segments relative to both raceways. Lubricant is forced into the raceways by the lubricating elements. Preferably the lubricating and indexing elements are both defined by hollow roller spring elements which are resiliently compressed between the raceways and which separate adjacent bearing segments. Lubricant is carried within the hollow interior of the roller elements. Means associated with the roller elements and race members operatively reduces the volume of the interior of the roller element and forces lubricant on the raceways, preferably at positions where the race members withstand large loads. At other positions the interior volume of the roller element is expanded to accept more lubricant.

    摘要: Friable particulate material is crushed and classified by apparatus comprising a grinder apparatus operatively positioned in the hollow interior of a relative rotationally mounted container. The grinder apparatus preferably comprises three rotationally mounted cone wheel roller members, each of which includes an outer grinding surface of predetermined contour. The outer grinding surface of each of the roller members maintains substantial conformance with a grinding face of the cylinder container from a center area to an outer edge of the grinding face as the roller members rotate. Feed particles of friable material and a continuous supply of fluid are introduced into the container and diffused substantially over the whole grinding face. Once the feed particles have been crushed to a predetermined size, the crushed particles are carried away from the grinding face by the flow of fluid exiting the hollow interior. The fluid velocity is controlled to remove a predetermined range of size of crushed particles from the grinding face and to separate or classify the removed crushed particles according to size and weight.
