摘要： A treadmill (10) includes a frame on which are mounted transverse forward and rearward roller assemblies (14, 16). An endless belt (18) is trained about the forward and rearward roller assemblies. A deck (20) is positioned between the upper run of the belt and the frame. The rearward portion of the deck (20) is mounted to the frame by a pivot connection (24) to allow pivoting of the deck about an axis transversely to the length of the deck. Elongate springs (26) of adjustable stiffness are mounted either along the sides of the frame to underlie the side margins of the deck, or transversely of the deck, to support the deck in conjunction with the pivot connection (24) and to absorb impact loads imparted on the deck by the user.

摘要： The flexibly coordinated stationary exercise device (10) includes a frame (12) which has a forward upright member (20). The axle mounts (30) and (32) are attached to the rear region of the frame (12) and support a transverse axle (36) which is preferably operatively connected to a flywheel (38). The ends of the transverse axle (36) rotatably engage left and right crank arm assemblies (50) and (52) that are coupled to the left and right foot links (60) and (70) so that the foot links travel in an arcuate reciprocal path as the transverse axle rotates. The foot links are operatively connected to swing arm mechanisms (80) and (90), which in turn are rotatably connected to the forward upright member (20) at pivot points (84) and (94). The swing arm mechanisms further contain hand-gripping portions (82) and (92), and the foot links further contain foot support portions (66) and (76). Flexibly coordinating members (100) are incorporated in the linkage between each respective hand-gripping portion and foot support portion to substantially and resiliently link the movement of the foot support portions to the movement of the hand-gripping portions, while permitting some degree of uncoordinated motion between the foot support portions and the hand-gripping portions.

The system is arranged to simultaneously connect more than one contact to an agent of the contact center capable of simultaneously handling a plurality of contacts. Typically, the contacts comprise non-voice contacts The system is arranged to obtain a respective time-varying characteristic associated with the various agents indicating an intermediate level of activity for the agents between the agents being unoccupied and the agents being fully occupied with handling contacts. New contacts received at the contact center are routed to an agent based at least partially the time-varying characteristic for the agents.

摘要： A storage system for objects such as wafers or reticles has at least one storage module, in which the objects are stored one above the other in packets similar to a column. Located next to the storage module is an inserting and dispensing module which comprises a robot. The robot has an arm which is movable substantially in a horizontal plane and with which predetermined objects can be laterally removed from or inserted into a predetermined packet. The packets are arranged in the storage module on a conveyor that runs substantially in a horizontal plane. The predetermined packet can be brought by the conveyor into a transfer position, at which the predetermined object can be transferred between the arm and the predetermined packet.

摘要： A simple device for showing the sun/shade exposure of a place at any given time which includes a convex mirror reflecting the sky and a transparent flat screen inscribed with the path of the sun, with the screen balanced horizontally on the mirror so that when one looks down through the screen the paths of the sun at various times of the year are superimposed on the image of the sky and any shadow-causing obstructions. Horizontality of the flat screen is accomplished by its balancing on the convex mirror. North orientation of the flat screen can be found, if the sun is visible, by rotating the screen till the sun's image matches its path position for that time, or by using a compass if the sun is not visible.

The method allows for a recording to be indexed with metadata reflecting a time-varying characteristic of one or more of the parties of the communications session, e.g. the mood of a caller, the current location of a caller. The indexing of recordings with such information allows for more granular search of recordings, in order to find particular call conditions. This can be useful from the point of view of education and training of new call center operatives, and for assessment of call center performance.

In a preferred aspect of the present invention, a method for enabling liveness for a non-live object can include the step of wrapping the non-live object to emulate liveness in a collaborative environment. Preferably, the wrapping step can include selecting at least one attribute of the non-live object, repeatedly updating a status of the at least one attribute for the non-live object, and, providing the repeatedly updated status to the collaborative environment in order to emulate liveness for the non-live object.
