Abstract:
Systems and methods for creating and using equipment definitions are provided. An archetypal device used to identify one or more data points associated with the archetypal device. A point definition is generated for each identified data point associated with the archetypal device. Each point definition includes an abstraction of a text string extracted from the corresponding data point that is applicable to multiple different devices of the same type of building equipment. The generated point definitions are used to create an equipment definition for a type of building equipment. The equipment definition can be used to identify data points associated with other devices of the same type of building equipment and to automatically create equipment objects representing such devices.
Abstract:
A building management system includes a search and control system coupled to a building network. The building network includes a plurality of devices of building equipment that operate to affect a variable state or condition within a building. The search and control system is configured to provide a search interface, receive filter criteria, perform a search regarding the devices of building equipment based on the filter criteria, return a set of search results based on the filter criteria, receive a selection of one or more devices of building equipment of the set of search results, receive command criteria regarding a command to provide to the one or more selected devices of building equipment, and provide the command to the one or more selected devices of building equipment. The command causes the one or more selected devices of building equipment to affect the variable state or condition within the building.
Abstract:
A building management system includes a plurality of devices of building equipment and a system manager. The system manager is configured to control the devices of building equipment and generate a user interface. The user interface includes a command widget configured to allow a user to input a first command to control a first device of the plurality of devices of building equipment and an add annotation box configured to allow a user to add an annotation to the command. The system manager is further configured to control the first device in response to the command and store the annotation in an annotation database.

Abstract:
A building management system (BMS) interface system. The BMS interface system includes a user interface and a BMS controller in communication with the user interface. The BMS controller includes a processor. The processor is configured to display a graphical scheduling interface on the user interface and receive a scheduling input from the user interface. The processor is further configured to extract one or more scheduling elements from the received scheduling input and convert the scheduling elements into one or more BMS data objects. The processor is further configured to update the graphical scheduling interface displayed on the user interface. The processor is also configured to execute one or more scheduling instructions based on the received scheduling input, wherein the scheduling instructions are associated with the operation of one or more BMS devices.
Abstract:
A building management system of a building including one or more computer-readable storage media having instructions that cause the one or more processors to operate a wireless power transmitter to transmit wireless power to one or more first building devices located within a zone of the building. The instructions cause the one or more processors to receive an indication of a zone power mode for the zone and operate the wireless power transmitter to switch from transmitting the wireless power to the one or more first building devices to transmitting the wireless power to one or more second building devices located within the zone of the building, wherein the one or more second building devices are indicated by the zone power mode, wherein at least one building device of the one or more second building devices is a different building device than the one or more first building devices.
Abstract:
A building management system including one or more circuits configured to receive a selection of an object associated with one of a building system, a piece of equipment, or a space of one or more building systems, one or more pieces of equipment, and/or one or more spaces of a building; determine the one or more pieces of equipment related to the object and/or the one or more spaces related to the object; and generate a graphical user interface illustrating (i) a relationship of the object with (a) the one or more pieces of equipment related to the object and/or (b) the one or more spaces related to the object and/or (ii) a control path between the object and (a) the one or more pieces of equipment related to the object and/or (b) the one or more spaces related to the object.

Abstract:
A method in a Building Management System (BMS) includes presenting a user interface to a user on a user device that allows the user to efficiently view logical relationships between objects in the BMS. The method includes presenting, on the user interface, a first object and a second object. The second object is affected by the first object. The first object is presented on a first side of the second object on the user interface. The method also includes receiving, via the user interface, an input from the user including a selection of the second object, and presenting, on the user interface, a third object used to control equipment of the BMS in response to the input from the user. The third object is affected by the second object and presented on a second side of the second object opposite the first side.
