    摘要: A wave attenuator system for protecting a floating dock or other structure from incoming wake created by wind or vessel is disclosed herein, in various aspects. The wave attenuator system may include a substantially rectangular curtain made of a water-impermeable flexible material, in various aspects. The curtain top edge may be secured along the length of at least one of the sides of a dock, in various aspects. The curtain bottom edge may be suspended in a body of water a predetermined distance below the water surface, in various aspects. The bottom edge may include a weighted material to maintain the curtain in a substantially vertical orientation, in various aspects. The wave attenuator system is operable to redirect waves impacting the curtain downward to reduce wave action against the dock or other structure, in various aspects.

    摘要: The invention provides a sensor assembly for determining the concentration of hydrogen in an insulating fluid in electric power generation, transmission, and distribution equipment. The assembly includes a housing having an opening therein communicating with the fluid, a hydrogen sensor disposed in the housing and responsive to the concentration of hydrogen in the fluid and generating a signal related to the concentration of hydrogen, and a pressure sensor disposed in the housing responsive to the fluid and generating a second signal indicative of the pressure of the fluid in the equipment. The assembly further includes a signal processor disposed in the housing and connected to the hydrogen sensor and the pressure sensor and responsive to the first and second signals for generating a third signal representing the concentration of hydrogen in the fluid.

    摘要: A modified compressed gas cylinder for use in hydrogen powered vehicles which lessens the explosive danger from accidental collisions by using an electronic signal from the airbag system to open a normally closed pressure relief valve. The released hydrogen gas releases through a vent pipe which exits either through the fill pipe area or through a vent in the top of the automobile. A whistle on the vent pipe informs drivers, passengers and bystanders if the pressure relief valve is allowing the escape of hydrogen gas. A mechanical lever maintains the open position of the pressure relief valve once the airbag signal is received until the driver triggers a mechanical latch similar to a trunk release which returns the pressure relief valve to its normally closed position. The pressure relief valve can also open if for some reason the internal pressure of the hydrogen storage tank exceeds the appropriate safety level due to excess density and or temperature rise.

    摘要: A mold assembly having a first mold half and a second mold half forms a cavity when the first and second mold halves are mated together. Pins or projections, which extend into the cavity, are provided by the mold halves. A semiconductor leadframe rests on the pins provided by the lower mold half and are spaced a short distance from the pins provided by the upper mold half. The pins from the lower mold half support the leadframe whereas the upper mold half pins restrict the movement of the leadframe during an encapsulating procedure. By shortening the pins from the upper mold half the entire upper surface of the leadframe is encapsulated. This eliminates the necessity of having to backfill the holes left in the encapsulating material after the encapsulating procedure.
