Abstract:
A trigger mechanism is provided for triggering an eject device of an electronic equipment with a front panel door. The eject device ejects a tray device, movably seated within the space of the electronic equipment, out of the electronic equipment when triggered. The trigger mechanism cooperates with the front panel door to trigger the eject device. The trigger mechanism works to trigger the eject device when a predetermined displacement of the front panel door form a normally closed position takes place. According to the invention, user can eject the tray device of the electronic equipment only by pressing the front panel door of the electronic equipment such that mistaken pressing of another functional button set on the front panel of the electronic equipment and possible cut of user's hand can be prevented. The trigger mechanism is composed of several simply mechanical components replacing a conventional trigger mechanism via a button such that manufacture cost of the electronic equipment can be reduced.
Abstract:

The packaging method includes the steps of providing an adhesive layer; placing a substrate, having an opening, on the adhesive layer; disposing an image sensor within the opening on the adhesive layer; adding a filler between the image sensor and the substrate; connecting the image sensor and the substrate via a plurality of bonding wires; and removing the adhesive layer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an airflow guidance structure in an optical storage carrier player. More particularly, the present invention relates to an airflow guidance structure in a CD-RW drive. The airflow guidance structure provides a path and cooperates with outlets disposed close to the end of the airflow guidance structure. Heat generated during the operation of the CD-RW drive is discharged from the outlets by using the airflow generated by the rotation of the disc.
Abstract:
An electronic device and an adjustment mechanism thereof. The electronic device includes a housing, an adjusting member, a lifting assembly, and a driving assembly. The adjusting member is moveably connected to the housing. The lifting assembly connects the adjusting member and the housing to move the adjusting member with respect to the housing. The driving assembly connects the lifting assembly and the housing to drive the lifting assembly to move the adjusting member. Thus, the housing is adjusted.
Abstract:
A converting module for converting a first analog voltage into a digital output value includes a comparator for comparing the first analog voltage with a threshold voltage and generating a comparison result, the threshold voltage corresponding to a first group of digits containing at least one digit. A subtracting circuit generates a second analog voltage by subtracting the threshold voltage from the first analog voltage if the comparison result indicates that the first analog voltage is greater than or equal to the threshold voltage. An analog-to-digital converter converts the second analog voltage into a second group of digits and concatenates the first group of digits and the second group of digits to form the digital output value.
Abstract:
An analog-to-digital converter includes a capacitor for storing charge and a current source for flowing current through the capacitor for charging the capacitor. The analog-to-digital converter also contains a switch for controlling flow of current from the current source to the capacitor, a comparator for outputting a first comparison value when an analog input voltage is approximately equal to a voltage across the capacitor, and a timer for calculating a charging period of time needed for the voltage across the capacitor to become equal to the analog input voltage. A controller is used for controlling operation of the switch, for starting the timer when the switch electrically connects the current source to the capacitor for charging the capacitor, for stopping the timer when the comparator outputs the first comparison value, and for converting the charging period of time calculated by the timer into a digital output voltage.
Abstract:
A method for writing software into a programmable memory within a peripheral apparatus initiated by a host computer is provided. The host computer issues a software write command and the peripheral apparatus includes a microcontroller connected to the host computer via an interface. A data line and an address line are provided to connect the microcontroller and the programmable memory. The method comprises the following steps: (1) providing a supervisory program within the programmable memory or the microcontroller, the supervisory program including a software write instruction; (2) the microcontroller executing the software write instruction and down-loading the software from the host computer via the interface; and (3) via the data and address line, performing the write operation of the control software to the programmable memory.
Abstract:
A method for controlling speed of a spindle motor within a disk player is provided. The spindle motor drives a disk thereon and the disk player includes a control circuit. The method comprises the steps of: (1) set speed of the spindle motor to operate at a Nominal speed; (2) test if disk data access operation has not occurred for a predetermined amount of time; (3) if result of step 2 is YES, set the spindle motor running at a speed which is between zero and the Nominal speed.
