摘要： In the developed state of the combiner 13, the first arm 19 extends along a vertical line passing the center of gravity G of the combiner 13, and the second arm 21 and the third arm 23 are aligned on and extended along a line which couples the rear end of the base member 17 and the other end 19b of the first arm 19 and tilts from the vertical direction toward the horizontal direction so that the combiner 13 is arranged in front of the eye point I at a tilting angle of reflecting the image light of the displayed image emitted from the display device of the projector unit 9 toward the eye point I of the driver 3. In such a configuration, the virtual image of the displayed image on the combiner which is to be visually recognized from the eye point can be visually recognized stable with no shaking in a vehicle which is susceptible to the vibration from the road face.

Thereby, the image is projected on a windscreen 3. The semi-transparent mirror 55 is moved in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, so that the vertical position of a projection point P1 or P3 of the image S1 or S3 on the windscreen 3 is changed such that the image is superimposed over the foreground at which a driver of the vehicle is looking. The cover plate 59a is supported by a cover support construction 59c so as to be movable in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle relative to the upper surface 1a of the dashboard 1.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a head-up display apparatus and a cover-mirror unit used for the same.A movable member 3′ of the cover-mirror unit stands up along a flat inner wall 1a1 of a housing 1a when the head-up display apparatus is in use, and lie down to cover an opening of the housing 1a when the head-up display apparatus is not in use for carrying out an up/down operation. In particular, through the down operation, by a link mechanism, a bottom end of the movable member is gradually moved upward by following the inner wall 1a1 of the housing 1a. Therefore, though the movable member 3′ stands up along the inner wall 1a1 of the housing 1a when the head-up display apparatus is in use, the movable member 3′ never interferes with the inner wall 1a1 through the up/down operation.

摘要： A display includes a case and a display source received in the case, and allows a virtual image of an image displayed on the display source projected on a windshield of a vehicle through an opening of the case to be superimposed on a foreground image through the windshield which is visually recognized at an eye point of the vehicle. A cover for the display is configured to prevent foreign particles from entering an inside of the case through the opening, and allows the image projected from the display source to pass therethrough. The cover has substantially a wedge cross section so as to align a substantially straight light path of direct light from an arbitrary point on the display source through the cover without reflection with a reflected light path of reflected light from the arbitrary point and reflected twice on inner surfaces of the cover.

摘要： Providing a head-up display apparatus capable of receiving a mirror, which projects from a line of an instrument panel when in use, without increasing a receiving section and spoiling a beauty of the instrument panel, and a mirror unit used in the same, a mirror is rotated about an axis perpendicular to a reflecting surface of the mirror so as to project a part of the mirror from the opening when in use, and take in the projected part of the mirror down within the opening when not in use. 摘要： A head-up display device includes a display unit for displaying information, a reflector rotatably supported by frame members fixed to a vehicle, and an adjuster for adjusting a rotational position of the reflector by a gearing system. The information displayed on the display unit is reflected by the reflector to a projection area on a vehicle windshield. The adjuster so adjusts the rotational position to allow a vehicle driver to see both a front view through the windshield and a superimposed reflected image of the information. The head-up display device further includes a regulator to allow the reflector to rotate in a rotational direction within a range where the reflector is adjustable by the adjuster, and to prevent the reflector from shifting in a direction other than the rotational direction.

The display source unit 9, which irradiates a light of a display image containing instrument information on a combiner 7 situated in front of an eye point I so that the irradiated light can be seen as a virtual image S from the eye point I, is provided with a cover member 13 consisting of: a front cover body 15 putting an optical element 21 for image magnification thereonto; and a rear cover body 17 hinged to the front cover body 15 with receiving a display device 23 therein. The cover member 13 is folded, thereby the light of the display image displayed on a display surface 23a of the display device 23 is reflected on a reflector 25 disposed in the cover member 13 to the optical element 21, passes through the optical element 21, and goes toward the eye point I after being reflected by the combiner 7.

摘要： A display system has a display unit and a reflector which are disposed in an instrument panel of an automotive vehicle. The display unit emits an image that is reflected by the reflector, and the image is projected on a windshield of the vehicle via an opening of the instrument panel. The display system superposes the image on a foreground seen from the vehicle such that a diver of the vehicle can recognize the superposed image and the foreground via the windshield simultaneously. The display system includes a shutter device disposed between the display unit and the opening. The shutter device is transformable to pass indication beams of the emitted image through the opening in conformity with a size of the emitted image.

摘要： The apparatus moves back a combining screen into a dashboard of a vehicle when the combining screen is not used. The combining screen is used for receiving an image emitted from a displaying device to superpose the image on a foreground of the vehicle such that the superposed image is visible for a driver's eye. The displaying device is disposed in the dashboard. The combining screen is positioned above the dashboard and inclined by a predetermined angle relative to an upward direction of the vehicle at its operational position. The apparatus has an outer moving means for moving the combining screen along a straight line between an operational position and an intermediate position and has an inner moving means for moving the combining screen along a curve between the intermediate position and a stored position in the dashboard. The intermediate position is located in the dashboard and above the displaying device. One of the inner and outer moving means has a cam channel and the combining screen has a pin movable along the cam channel. The cam channel and the pin define a cam moving mechanism to move the combining screen, while the other of the inner and outer moving means has a pin holding mechanism. The pin holding mechanism is movable with holding the pin to move the combining screen.
