Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes scanning targets, an optical scanning section, a cassette, a cassette insertion section, and a cassette guide. The optical scanning section scans the scanning targets with light. The cassette guide is disposed in the cassette insertion section and guides the cassette. The optical scanning section includes a plurality of reflecting members corresponding one-to-one with the scanning targets. Each reflecting member directs the light to a corresponding one of the scanning targets. The cassette guide includes one or more adjustment mechanisms that are equal in number to a prescribed number of reflecting members out of the plurality of reflecting members. The prescribed number of adjustment mechanisms correspond one-to-one with the prescribed number of reflecting members. Each adjustment mechanism adjusts a position of a corresponding one of the reflecting members.
Abstract:
An optical scanning device includes a housing, a polygon mirror, and a motor. The polygon mirror is disposed in the housing and reflects light incident thereon while being rotated. The motor is disposed in the housing and rotates the polygon mirror. The housing has a cooling passage that cools the interior of the housing. The cooling passage is asymmetrically located relative to a rotation shaft of the motor in a cross section perpendicular to the main scanning direction.
Abstract:
Provided is an authenticating apparatus that, in the case where authentication is performed repeatedly for the same operator, is capable of performing authentication without the operator having to consciously input unique information from the second time on. The weight scale measures the weight of an operator. The weight-registering unit, when an operator is authenticated as a user registered in an authentication list, registers the measured weight measured by the weight scale in the authentication list as a registered weight of the user. The user-selection-receiving unit receives a selection of a user. The weight-comparing unit authenticates an operator as a user registered in the authentication list by determining whether or not the registered weight of a user, of which a selection is received by the user-selection-receiving unit, is registered in the authentication list, and comparing the measured weight and the registered weight.
Abstract:
An optical scanning device has a housing body and an upper lid. The upper lid is formed at the end part thereof with a plurality of engagement holes, the housing body is provided at the sidewall thereof with a plurality of upper lid engaging projecting parts that project outward from a housing and are engaged with the engagement holes, an input gear is held to an end part of one side or the other side of the upper lid in a predetermined direction, and the plurality of upper lid engaging projecting parts are formed such that amounts of projecting outward from the housing are increased as the plurality of upper lid engaging projecting parts are positioned at a side near the input gear in the predetermined direction.
Abstract:
A toner container is elongated. A first rotating member is rotatably provided in a first toner storage portion and extends in a depth direction of a container main body. A first drive input portion is provided at an end of a first rotation shaft included in the first rotating member and configured to receive a driving force. A second rotating member rotatably provided in a second toner storage portion and extends in the depth direction. A second drive input portion is provided at an end of a second rotation shaft included in the second rotating member and configured to receive a driving force. The container main body includes a plate-like coupling member coupling a first housing of the first toner storage portion with a second housing of the second toner storage portion.
Abstract:
A toner container includes a container main body, a rotation member, a flat plate-like lid member, a rib member, and a film member. The rotation member is rotatably provided in the container main body and extends in a depth direction of the container main body. The lid member closes an opening portion of the container main body in the depth direction. The rib member is provided on an inner surface of the lid member in such a way as to be located adjacent to the rotation member with a predetermined gap from the rotation member, and positions the lid member with respect to the opening portion. The film member is attached to the housing of the container main body such that one surface of the film member contacts the rib member and an opposite surface of the film member contacts an outer circumferential surface of the rotation member.
Abstract:
A developing device includes: a developing roller; a toner supplying roller; a regulation blade; a casing; a film member; a bias member; and a protrusion. The casing includes an inner wall portion which opposes the developing roller between the blade roller and the image carrier. The film member is flexible, disposed to oppose an upper surface of the inner wall portion over a predetermined gap and vibratile in a direction to approach or leave the inner wall portion. The bias member is connected to at least one end in a longitudinal direction of the film member and gives tension to the film member. The protrusion is disposed on a gear composing a group of drive gears of the developing roller or the toner supplying roller and intermittently contacts an end edge of the film member thanks to rotation of the gear to vibrate the film member.
